Guys, I have a netgear power bridge (10/100, fuck yeah) for my TV. One problem. The earth pin is broken. I need a way to get a new plastic earth pin on it, since jamming random shit into the earth bit isn't going to help [editline]3rd December 2010[/editline] it's a UK socket by the way, fucking RCDs all up in this bitch [editline]3rd December 2010[/editline] and by bitch I mean consumer unit [editline]3rd December 2010[/editline] and by up in i mean installed
The amount of stupid coming from that is hurting my brain.
what are you talking about look he said polycounts so he must know what he is talking about
Here's some content. I've posted before about this one idiot in my class who doesn't seem to be able to comprehend about anything what so ever. Not so long ago he proved this again. He was trying to install Fedora 13 x64 in VirtualBox on his laptop. He's running Vista 64bit (according to him) and he wasn't able to get it installed. It would give him an error about using the wrong version. Now he's either running a 32bit OS, set his VM to 32bit, or is using the 32bit version of VirtualBox, or any combination of those. Now according to him he removed 2 gigs of RAM from his laptop because they were busted or something. He thinks that the 64bit version of Fedora doesn't want to install because when he removed 2 gigs of ram (thus moving from 4 to 2) his Os changed to 32bits. I have told him many times that he obviously downloaded the wrong version or something, but he won't admit the fact that he fucked up. He always blames his failures on something else than him. I'm happy that he's failing 2 classes and is sure not to pass them. He will soon get kicked out and my life will be fucking better.
"I'm happy that he's failing 2 classes and is sure not to pass them. He will soon get kicked out and my life will be fucking better." why on earth would you be happy for someone's failures
[img_thumb]http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/3931/loliknowright2.png[/img_thumb] this man is a fountain of computer knowledge
>you are perma banned
"I'm happy that he's failing 2 classes and is sure not to pass them. He will soon get kicked out and my life will be fucking better." why on earth would you be happy for someone's failures
it's because watching someone else fail makes him feel less pathetic
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1157653/kz3lamo.png[/img_thumb] well gee
I'm pretty sure no console games run at 1080p natively and if they do they are upscaled from 720p.
Whilst it may be , the websites our college use to teach us computing look archaic. Here is a prime example: http://www.itrackls.co.uk/p7_cssexpress/pp/architect.html It's a shame really, as something that can be interesting and is important to know when it comes to how computers work has to be presented in such a bland, boring fashion. The sites that we use are limited as the teacher uses the old 'unreliable until proven otherwise' rule when it comes to using other resources.
it's because watching someone else fail makes him feel less pathetic
Not really, the guy is a real pain in the ass. He slowing the class down. He sits through class and doesn't get anything and then asks about 50000 questions about the same thing over and over again. I've just generally had enough. I can't stand him anymore.

[editline]3rd December 2010[/editline] though in hindsight I probably misread something or was supposed to select multiple answers for the first one but I have no clue what I was supposed to answer for the second.
Whats the correct answer to the last question? They all could potentially affect the PC's speed.
Whats the correct answer to the last question? I got a 95 on the first try, i thought it was device for the modular computer question.

[editline]3rd December 2010[/editline] though in hindsight I probably misread something or was supposed to select multiple answers for the first one but I have no clue what I was supposed to answer for the second.
You have to choose all of the parts that are in the CPU, not just one (did that mistake two times before checking ALU and Control unit). And the second was "peripheral", I guess, not "peripherals".
Whats the correct answer to the last question? They all could potentially affect the PC's speed.
Apparently the correct answer is "Device drivers", although I'm quite sure they do have an impact on the PC's performance. [editline]4th December 2010[/editline]
your computer isn't going to be able to do any less calculations per second with shit drivers, it's just not going to be as stable
Huh. Well, if you put it that way... How about performance increases with GPU drivers, then?
First off when you say broken power plug? The plug is the part with the prongs, so I am wondering how he got a knife and fork into that. Unless you mean the socket, then okay I can see how you can get a knife and fork in the socket. Second, you were sitting in class and he just happened to pull out a metal knife and fork? Do you guys always carry silverware around with you? While what was still on? Do you mean while the power was still on? Because if the electronic device was still on, that is impressive since it would have to be unplugged for him to do any of this. This story just radiates "made up".
Socket, and he's a "special" kid who lacks the ability to eat without a knife and fork, so he brings them to school.
