I used to do tech support for my school. One day, a teacher reported that her internet was broken, so I set out to her room to assess the problem. When I arrived, the computer was sitting there: an old, blue eMac. Yes, an emac. I checked the power and ethernet cables, both were plugged in. I turned it on, and asked the teacher which one of the two accounts was for the teacher (well, not really, it just has administrator access.). She stood there, confused, so I picked the top one and entered the basic password.
This is where it gets good: I asked her what exactly was wrong with the internet. She responded in a vague fashion, saying that she couldn't open Safari. I looked at the desktop, and there was no shortcut to Safari. I opened the applications folder, and created a shortcut to it in the quick launch bar. I clicked it, and it simply opened to the homepage; while the teacher was stunned by my t0ta||'/ |334 s|<i||z. She thanked me and I went on my way, immediately telling the other TSG about my humorous adventure.

The eMacs were all white, you're thinking of the iMac G3. If it's running OSX, I'd hate to be that teacher.

Now now, if it's the Indigo slot loader, I've seen it do decently with OS X. It was on Tiger, iirc. But it was usually best to turn flash off...
This thing was at least ten years old, running an early version of OSX.
What the hell has happened to Facepunch? Why are the ratings messed up? What's the orange icons to the left for?

It seems the STEAM icon from your taskbar has migrated to your agree rating. I think something in your computer has gone horribly wrong.
You know what the beauty is of being called upon to fix simple computer issues such as adding a shortcut to a person's desktop? Sometimes, that person pays you way more than you deserve. My aunt paid me twenty bucks to set up a new laptop she got with an administrator account and an account with child locks.

That Steam icon is also found below most peoples post count. (Including mine).

It seems like a lot to you, but anyone else would charge $40 an hour, most likely, minimum, for at least one hour.
yeah, I know this local computer store and they charge $100/hr to look for problems
and they charge $30 to install/unstall a program, yes, a program, as in $30 each.

iPods are like some of the first MP3 players, in terms of that you have to use a program to transfer files...
Yeah but iTunes is at least half decent, This shit I'm talking about is terrible, Absolutely terrible, It has no other function other than transferring, Converting from a .mod file (Never seen this file before) and playing the videos.

I didn't with mine.
But since it was back in the win98 days, i needed a driver to see it in My Computer, and needed to turn off the computer before connecting or disconnecting it.
shitty old Creative something-something.
I will never completely understand why transferring music using apple products can only way. Not the technology and what happens, but more the reason why such a thing was implimented. I would make fresh installs and new computers a great deal easier to set up if I could plug in my iPod and let the computer grab all the songs off it. And with my new mobile I'm going to have to start using zune as well as iTunes, although I've been using it for a while before and it's not as bad as people as people were making it out to be. Not brilliant, but still, not bad at all.

OS is the way

Learn to manually manage your music, and with a good program - like Floola.
