Learn to manually manage your music, and with a good program - like Floola.
Oh i do now but still I have never got those songs back as i had like 300 and cant remember any of them
Well, did you use TunesRescue or backup your music library?
Well, did you use TunesRescue or backup your music library?
this was like 2 years ago bud - no
Wait.....iTunes doesn't remember what you've bought like Steam for example? That's terrible! Especially because you can't transfer files from iPod to computer.... [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] Walkman Phone represent
Ok, I was a bit on the illiteracy side this time... A while ago I had some issues with my computer, and I was suggested with "reset your BIOS". Which I promptly did. And the issues stopped, kinda. But now some programs (Fallout 3, Winamp, Messenger and other two) wouldn't launch, or give me a "Not a valid win32 application" error. I hand the computer to my friend's uncle (he built the pc and overall knows his shit) and he checks everything up. But here's the tasty part: I forgot to tell him about the resetted BIOS, until 2 weeks later. He gives me back the computer, I re-update the BIOS and... Shit still does not work. What the fuck.
You can transfer them with a 3rd party application
Ah ok. Still a fail from Apple though.
Also if you right click on the song in iTunes, and hit get info, you can find the location of the song on your drive. All the files you download from iTunes are in the same place, just copy them onto your next computer, and drag em into the library as you would any other music. You may need to authenticate with an account password for them though.
Now, what if your harddrive dies?
Well you hope you've backed up
Real men don't backup, they cry instead :smug:
Real men don't backup, they cry instead :smug:
like some fatty from around here?
like some fatty from around here?
Hahahah Yes.
Reinstall the affected programs?
Already done, multiple times.
Above people are in the wrong thread...again. How about some actual content? I get to be the network administrator until Finals is over because it's too late to find anyone in the upper classes who's qualified. Since I seem to know what I'm doing, they gave me the job for 2 and a half weeks, but they've already told me that I won't get it next semester. :smith: But at least that other guy's gone. :unsmith: [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] I've already improved the speed of the network by only blocking pings outbound from the LAN and not all pings within the LAN. Everyone was amazed.

Going by the rest of your stories, my god was the only alternative a chimp?

No one thought to perhaps install a firewall on the proxy OR a firewall on the client computers.
page 69 hurr anyway someone got megabytes confused with gigabytes today
page 69 hurr anyway someone got megabytes confused with gigabytes today
Meh, usually happens
So my school has been getting some macs for the art and media studies rooms. Everyone keeps calling them "applemacs" Yet when i tell them they are just called macs, they go "No they are called applemacs would you go to a shop and ask for a mac? if you did youd get a coat :downs:" :geno:
Kids at my school do the same thing. I have to admit, iMacs have bloody nice screens.
Today we had to make an image using Sumo Paint in our IT class. It's a Flash-based image editor and tends to crash and freeze. A lot. There was one person in the class who threw out obscenities all the time while trying to use it. Eventually I just said "screw it" and just piled some layers together and added some simple effects. Most of the class has been boring and I've just wound up surfing the Internet. There's supposed to be some C++ programming later on, but since it was just listed as "a bit of programming" I think it's just going to be a simple Hello World! and that's it.
page 69 hurr anyway someone got megabytes confused with gigabytes today
People getting confused, sure sign that someone thinks they know what they are talking about when they really don't. Silly computer illiterates. /sarcasm
Yeah but iTunes is at least half decent, This shit I'm talking about is terrible, Absolutely terrible, It has no other function other than transferring, Converting from a .mod file (Never seen this file before) and playing the videos.
Ugh, iTunes sucks. I try to move movies to my iDevice. Won't let me. I have to activate manual file management which REMOVES ALL FILES FROM THE IDEVICE. Great. I get my iDevice set up. I buy something online and want to print a receipt. Well, too fucking bad, AirPrint was removed in the latest iTunes. I want to move my mp3s back to my computer after a reformat. Too fucking bad, you can't take anything but pictures off of the device. Have to resort to alternative software like CopyTrans and whatnot. + an endless list of limitations and freeze issues and ugh. I mean for fuck's sake, if a program takes 2 minutes, frozen, to apply some artwork on an album on a Q9450, 6GB of RAM, then you know you have one shitty fucking program. /rant But I do really wish that Apple would just go back to what they were doing with the fifth generation iPod and let us drag and drop already.
they curbed their prices and upped their speed not so haha anymore, i will enjoy my 200gb fiber optic 45 megabit per second internet
I'll soon enjoy my unthrottled 100Mb/s for approx 45$ a month.
Both my laptop and my PC do it in seconds without freezing up and their specs are less than yours. I don't think Itunes is the issue here.
