Well, I bought a 80 mm fan that I attached to the inside of my case, but it doesn't seem to help that much so far. What do you mean by zip-tying it?
Remove the heatsink cover of the card, and mount the fan on top of the heatsink, blowing air on it. I stabilized the fan to the card by ziptieing the top and bottom of the card on the side, with the fan in between
Okay, I give you a temporary solution: Play older fun games which don't need so much capacity of your video card / Processor. Think about that popular RTS game, Stronghold Crusader, or the most beloved Mario! People, I'm not flaming or other kind of shit, you can box me, I don't care - but I think my theory is true... The new generation of gamers want graphics instead of story / gameplay... Speachless...
Yeah, gotta love the story in the older games. "Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle" "Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle" "Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle" "Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle" Honestly, the games of today have a great story/fun gameplay, there are a lot of crap games, but it's not any worse than it was back in the day. Actually most of the games we find crappy today are crappy because they are repetitive or boring. 90% of old games are nothing but repetition, but everyone seems to hold on to them like they are the holy grail. you sound like you own a wii
Yeah, I know, but getting a case fan is simplier. And cheaper. I thought I could try that before getting a new video card fan. Also, my card only seems to give me slowdowns when it goes over 105c. So I guess the max temp on mine is higher.
Do not play games where your card reaches 105c. you will break it.

Could you maybe draw a picture or something?
