Why do you randomly obliqueify things which have no need for it?
Why do you randomly obliqueify things which have no need for it?
to show emphasis i dont know There was another thread not long ago where someone else did the same thing. I remember having Windows in its entirety installed to a D: drive. It was a pain in the ass to install anything.
That's just the programmers being lazy
Why do people install programs to a drive other than C:? It always messes things up somehow.
Come at me bro. Every single program works. Edit: And there's this too, I suppose.
Why do people install programs to a drive other than C:? It always messes things up somehow.
This is untrue. No messing up at all, since there is nowhere written "Install everything to C". Also the reason for this is that you want your OS and your Programs and Data isolated from the OS. Whenever you need to reinstall the OS or whenever you push back a backup of your OS, all programs stay unaffected. I'm working with this ideology now for more than 10 years and it works perfectly so far: "Oh crap, Windows doesn't boot. Luckily I do not have to backup any data from C since everything is on D and E. Let's just reinstall Windows!" And also: My 120 GB SSD (35 GB for Windows (C:), 70 for Programs (D:), remaining unformated) can't hold Steam, so it's on my 2 TB drive (E:)
I run windows on a flashdrive installed in the third drive slot. Works like a charm.
Try disabling UAC. See if that helps. It was very finicky about permissions.
Did you crash and did you actually try that to work? I doubt it. There are so much websites with "Portal 2 crash fix" which just compile random things together without even testing them. Most are rumors and even contradict each other (e.g. "Install latest official driver","Install the beta driver","Install previous driver").
Well, considering you can't make a portal on another portal, I would assume that both portals would just close. [editline]21st April 2011[/editline] Also, you can't move a surface with a portal on it without that portal closing anyway.
You can in portal 2.
