AVG. That piece of shit found its uninstall file as the first virus it found. On the FIRST scan right after installing it.
Yahoo toolbar when I forget to uncheck the box. It comes as a pre-checked option on every piece of software these days.
I remember how I raged really hard once when I had a faulty mouse which sometimes doubleclicked automatically if i didn't press the button down really hard. So I was installing some program and it came bundled with ask.com toolbar, and the mouse decided to doubleclick just past the screen when it asks you if you want to install the toolbar and the installation started immediately. :argh: That thing is a bitch to uninstall because it decides to change all your browser search settings. And phone PC suites are usually quite crappy. In Nokia PC suite, it often happened that some feature didn't work correctly or refused to connect to my phone. LG PC suite IV is even worse, it refuses to update my phone, unmounts the phone's SD card whenever I want to transfer music to it, etc. The biggest oddity is, if you want to sync the contacts and calendar between phone and PC, your phone needs to have active internet connection, even when it's connected directly to the PC with a fucking USB cable. :wtc:
iTunes and Quicktime I swear Apple purposely made the Windows version a piece of shit. Only reason I still use it is for my iPod, which IMO is the best MP3 player out there.
I still have iTunes and it's a bit frustrating, anyone know an alternative? (Using windows)
Winamp. I think Songbird also handles ipods, as does MusicBee. I haven't used any of these in a while (using foobar2000 right now) because I no longer have an ipod, but I know winamp works with ipods.
I don't even have an ipod lol I just use my android phone.
Hey, you want a new shitty-ass 128 pixels high toolbar? *unchecks*
Later, checking the installation log...
Installing Yahoo! Toolbar
wryyyyyyyyyy
Not technically on my computer but. McAfee, My best friend had it installed on her netbook, it turned out to be messing stuff up (All networks appeared to be "unidentified network" or something similar, and you couldn't get a connection). I couldn't uninstall it either, because apparently Dell doesn't want you to uninstall the bloatware on their computers. In the end she had to send it to PC world to be fixed.

Before you do anything else.
I've got a Microsoft Bob diskette somewhere around here
[img_thumb]http://f1computingsolutions.com/images/wildtangent_logo.gif[/img_thumb] When i was a kid, and had a pre-built, this came on it, and it was fucking hard to get all the shit it had with it off.
My friend had that on a recent laptop, when we uninstalled it the 7 Installation shit itself and wouldn't boot, It's more integrated than fucking norton.
one of my favourite games of all time is a wildtangent game but I can't install it because it used the wildtangent web app which is completely gone from the internet [editline]12th April 2011[/editline] it's Speedway, a racing game. I still have a copy of the exe but no fucking wildtangent web app [editline]12th April 2011[/editline] fuck yeah
Call of Duty: Black Ops (but on a serious note: Norton Systemworks - scheduled TF2 lag every friday evening)
My grandmother's prebuilt had wildtangent on it, Fate was p fun.
If I uninstall Wild Tangent from people's computers, they go apeshit... yet they're too dumb and dense to listen, and too closed-minded and ignorant to care what's clogging up their PC, yet they ask me to make it faster... hmm...
At times, NifSkope. Sometimes, you simply click on the viewport of it, and the whole program locks up and wants to shut down. So annoying when you are trying to sort a model out.
Right now, Foobar2000. I know how you guys say it's all the rage but seriously... If it locks up explorer so bad upon minimizing to the system tray icons that you can't even open TASK MANAGER and you have to relog into your account........ I don't see how it's so great. No, no skins or plugins are installed other then the ones that came with it. So upon saying this, are there any other good music players that will minimize to your system tray icons WITHOUT nuking explorer?
EA Download Manager. Only had it to try and get my CnC back. WillowTree. I love it when it comes down to it, but the UI is just shit to me. Blender3D. Only cause I don't know how to use it.
if foobar2000's locking up your system you may want to consider upgrading
I have very decent specs. I don't know what's causing it. Also it's not locking up everything really, just explorer. I can still use Firefox, Skype, etc. I can alt tab to other windows but I can't open new ones, taskbar doesn't respond and nor does trying to do anything with icons on my desktop. But everything becomes totally unusable if I hit the windows key + Tab, a giant blur just covers my screen and freezes. Though I can still hear program sounds.
You're the only one with that problem, so it has to be something on your end of things - possibly a corrupt install?
I reinstalled Foobar about 10 times now and it still does it. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Object Dock was the culprit... It's the first thing to freeze when I minimize Foobar and it happens.
Though I wouldn't be surprised if Object Dock was the culprit... It's the first thing to freeze when I minimize Foobar and it happens.
that's probably it - ObjectDock's "Taskbar Replacer" [del]bug[/del] feature is interfering.
Figures... I've tried Rocket Dock but I just don't like it. I don't really like using Windows' dock thing either. I'm just used to Object Dock since I've been using it since the XP days... Because I noticed it maximized very oddly when I opened it from Object dock. It was being pulled back and fourth-literally-between Object Dock and Windows' taskbar itself. Ugh.
don't use a dock, get Launchy?
I like a dock.... :saddowns: Eh, I'll figure out a way to fix it.
