I don't understand, no matter how pissed I could get I would never damage my own stuff.

Which is why I have a therapist, I can sometimes stop myself from doing it, but I couldn't.
why 70 GBP
PC World.
Stupidly high prices. Bloody irritating but that's where I got it from.
the keyboard? are you planning on buying another shitty lycosa?
[editline]11th April 2013[/editline]
buy a keyboard that can take a punch, I've played Chivalry with my Ducky.
the keyboard? are you planning on buying another shitty lycosa?
I have another spare keyboard lying around, so I'm using that until I pay mom and dad £70, because I did not buy it under my name. They did.
Keyboards with mechanical switches is considered a racket in this family.
i cant understand the words coming from your fingertips
Does anybody over here have a way to capture sounds by application?
Like, I'd be happy to record Skype, my mic and game sounds in different streams. I know that it is possible with Windows after XP but you need to install something to get other programs to use it. And because it is closed-source, it doesn't ship with Audacity.
-snip, post not relevent-
Just tried messing around with LTC mining. It actually was a nice test to see if my GPU didn't blow up under ~98% load.

My biggest complaint is lack of MCE.
There's a lot of legitimate complaints but you'll never see any of them in SH

I've never been able to find a bit of software for my TV tuner that is anywhere near as good as Media Center.

Like the fucking Charms bar on Server 2012
Windows Media Center
It was an addon, and it was available for free when win8 launched.
Like the fucking Charms bar on Server 2012
Charms bar period, it's not even good on a tablet.
It's either use a shitty capacitive button or swipe and tap, whereas every other OS worth its merit has a home button in some regard accessible at all times
But it isn't now.
Barely anybody uses it, it makes sense to sell it separately.
It makes the core OS cheaper too.
I can give some examples if you really want.
not that I'm discriminating, all genitals look fucking weird

True, but it does mean for anyone upgrading from 7 to 8 now we do loose functionality.
I got the MCE upgrade for free and it's literally exactly the same as the Media Centre in 7 and Vista, probably XP too but I never tried that one. Only reason you'd use it over XBMC is the tv tuner functionality, and I think XBMC's adding something akin to that.

Hardly anyone's gonna care though, not a lot of people use media centre afaik/ It's a good tradeoff for the most part

tbf if you're hosting servers with windows you've got more to worry about than a charms bar

I DO use Media Center for the TV tuning functionality; and I've never seen anything 3rd party (including the included software with my tv tuner) that doesn't look like a total clusterfuck.
It's the main thing that's stopping me upgrading my desktop.
[editline]11th April 2013[/editline]
XBMC has some sort of TV Support, but you need some horribly hacky backend client/server system and I haven't been able to get it working.
MC works perfectly off the bat.

If you have already have Windows 8 Pro, its a whole $10. I'm not saying it justifies it, but they aren't bending you over just for Media Center.
God damnit, my work has implemented the classic "you need at least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 number and 1 special character in your password. oh yeah and you have to change it every 90 days"
