Go with P55 and i5 750, with Corsair Dominator 4GB.
Just because he has $2500 to spend on a computer doesn't mean he should spend $2500 on a computer.
I love how you guys complain like little girls, and then just run off when there's asked for help from your side.

That's more what I was talking about... Thanks man! Any other guys have builds they want me to look at?
I would highly reccomend this case for a highend build like yours.

It's $40 more but it will have enough room for anything you need, it won't be blinking and shining light out at you like the HAF will, and it is totally, and I mean totally quiet. My uncle has one with a total of 8 fans in it and you can't hear a thing sitting 2 feet away from it. It looks sleek and it would fit in better with a home entertainment set up [Which I assume this is going to be integrated with?]
[editline]01:08AM[/editline]
It has really neat harddrive bays that slide and lock in really easily. I think he has 6 in his right now.
50" 1080p for a computer isn't good unless it's primarily for watching videos. Won't be as clear as a regular desktop monitor.
It's also a stupid idea, because leaving the pc on the desktop will make it burn into the TV, reducing the lifetime.
It's also a stupid idea, because leaving the pc on the desktop will make it burn into the TV, reducing the lifetime.
This is a GAMING PC! It's not gonna sit on the desktop... IT'S FOR GAMING! When it's not gaming, It's gonna be off... If I EVER need to use it else wise, Ill plug an old monitor into it. IT'S NOT GONNA SIT ON THE DAMN DESKTOP *RAGE*
zanraraptora, the i7 is overkill for gaming.
The advantages it yields for gaming are very small compared to the i5, which is an extremely fast processor. The i7 has Hyperthreading, the i5 doesn't, but games do not utilize hyperthreading, so unless you are doing some really really advanced, as in commercial, for work, grade rendering do not get an i7, I would say it's really not goingto benefit anyone much that's not a professional in some computer field. Besides the i5 will destroy any game it touches and have some left over to play Starcraft on the side, run 5 instances of IE playing youtube videos and compile your porn montage videos all at once.
It's way cheaper too!
So I think you ought to go with a top of the line P55, an i5 750, 4 GB of the fastest RAM you can get and you are set with everything else in that build you posted.

Sorted by rating and scrolled down till I saw something with a reasonable price compared to the other results.
The more expensive parts, I checked reviews, and they were all good.

That's fine and all, but you should never go with Newegg ratings or reviews.

Hence why I check them manually aswell. I'm not entirely retarted, I know that the majority of newegg's reviews are "DON'T BUY THIS 5970 DIDN'T WORK IN MY HP pavilion from fucking 2003"
The only thing newegg's reviews are good for, is to check if the item is worth jack shit or not, so if the item has 500 reviews with 99% 1 star, then you know to stay away from it.

Sorry for the huge image...
So this is the build I got together, Probably gonna drop the second p128, but everything else looks good to me... What do you guys think? I went for combo deals any time I could, and I think this is a pretty reasonable setup.
Wonderful build.

Kudos to you for putting the TX-3 in there, best thermal paste you can buy.
why do you need a 250 dollar motherboard and 750 dollars on SSDs
why do you need a 250 dollar motherboard and 750 dollars on SSDs
I don't need a 2500 dollar computer or an 50" screen either... I WANT IT! (Blatant Nintendo reference)
Edit:
On second thought as well... I know someone is going to ask why I have 2 p128s and only one 5870, and My answer is that I can add another 5870 easily... I need to re-format if I want to add another p128.
And yeah it is pretty fucking retarded to build a computer around a 50" plasma. You could buy a 30" Dell at 2560x1600 for less.
I already have the plasma... It would cost for me to get a Monitor on top of that...
Stuff looks ugly on the Plasma.

Sure... From 2 feet away... I'm playing from a couch people...

it's good to reformat anyways
and you won't be storing much on it seeing as you still only have 250 gigs available
personally I would ditch ssds completely and grab cosair obsidian plus 5970

Why would I need more than 250 for games and the OS? I have the raid 0 C.Blacks for data.
Also... How the heck would i need the 5970? Or get one for that matter?
Edit:
For that matter, why would I get the obsidian? it seems almost the same, doesn't look as great with my other gear, and costs another 100$

+$300 on the price for less performance?
Combo deals are usally shit, as it's another way for newegg to sell the stuff they can't get rid of.
Surely there's nice deals once in a while, but most of the times it's just to try and get you to buy something much more expensive that does exactly the same.

Please point out the parts I should replace in this build, especially if the combo deals are bad
The only one I was iffy about was the 650hx... I was originally going for the 850hx... But do you have better recommendations?

No, TX-2 and TX-3 are the two best thermal pastes.
[editline]07:36PM[/editline]
MX-3 might be better than TX-2, I'm not sure. But TX-3 is definitely the best.
