"In the "larger" rearrangement, the gaps between the figures have a combined unit square more area than their square gaps counterparts, creating an illusion that the figures there take up more space than those in the square figure. In the "smaller" rearrangement, each quadrilateral needs to overlap the triangle by an area of half a unit for its top/bottom edge to align with a grid line."
How the hell does my brother have 2500xsomethinghigherthan1200 on his 32" TV with VGA, when I have 1920x1080 at max on my 32" TV with HDMI?
Because VGA has a max res of ~2600*2000
You know you have been reading too much Sipwicket when that happens.
Maybe.
Now you can never go back.
I live off a 22" IPS and a 21.5" TN and can confirm this. My TN makes me cry.
Tracking numbers: Why must you torment me?

I received a processor over a week ago and Royal Mail is still telling me to "Come back later".
How bright do you people have your monitors, both of my monitors have been set on like 10% because otherwise my retinas will melt.
100% to combat glare
moving my stuff is not an option sadly
How bright do you people have your monitors, both of my monitors have been set on like 10% because otherwise my retinas will melt.
It is easier to train your retinas than to change the brightness.

I have mine on whatever it came out of the factory as, as none of the buttons appear to do anything.
It is easier to train your retinas than to change the brightness.
My eyes have always been sensitive to light though, long exposure to artificial lights and summer sunlight tend to give me headaches.
I have mine on whatever it came out of the factory as, as none of the buttons appear to do anything.
Same here but it's because it is miserable trying to change any setting on my monitor because the buttons are a pain in the arse to mess with.
My main monitor is at about 90% and my secondary hasn't changed because it's an awful monitor with shitty color profiles and awful brightness anyway
I need my monitor to be at least 50% brightness during the day, maybe even 70%. But during the night, I can turn it all the way down to 0% and the whites are still white.
I keep my secondary on the lowest setting unless I'm watching a video or something on it. My main screen is usually on max unless it's blinding me.
... I just realized all my monitors were at max brightness. I used to have really bad glare, but now we've got some curtains installed to keep that from happening. So I just dropped them significantly (keeping the brightness looking the same at all - the dimmest is at 90%, the brightest is at 60% and the other is at 65%).
Much easier on the eyes now.

I'm expecting a SPARC post from you in the next 5 minutes. Just saying. Don't disappoint. (T5 actually looks good...)

Let me guess - you read The Register?
(Also, the post I was about to make was about how I just wrote a 200-line SQL query for Project Horizon, although I do have aforementioned site open in another tab)

I do read 'El Reg. But more specifically the current live announcement.

Eh, I'm still at work. I don't slack off enough to be watching videos like that, unless I'm on my lunch break or something.

A good worker at least.
But I take back what I said about T5 looking decent.

Would a quantum computer be listed as "Processor: Maybe"?

You mean "vaguely similar to Power7 in performance while only costing six times as much and having to license twice as many cores" isn't decent?
Heretic!

You're forgetting the part about Power7+ probably outperforming it, too.

Meh. It's an improvement, at least.
Now, to watch Kittson blow everybody away in a year!

It will! It will have twelve cores! and clock at 3.06GHz! And bring back the 2 LSU's that Poulson removed! And be built on 22nm FinFET!!!!!!!
... please?
