I had a fuckton of quarters saved up because that's how my terrible friends pay me for lunch, took it to the bank and got like $80
Save up your pennies for explosives. Some friends and I do this every year with our pocket change:
I have no fucking clue.
I put IIS on my server, shat out a few pages, then registered the co.nr domain and pointed it back to the ip. Is that a shit idea?
It is frustrating though. No matter what page Im on, it just displayes thebirdcage.co.nr in the url bar.
Because it's in an iframe.
One's uglier than the other. That's about it.
Which one should I get then.

it's only displaying thebirdcage.co.nr because you're using an iframe

Cheaper one because cheaper?
It's like 70cents cheaper
Because it's in an iframe.
I don't know what iframe means
I am an idiot help me
Because it's in an iframe.
Because it's one of those cheap ass "forward to another URL" things.

Stuff like this, it loads a web page up inside a box, its horrible practice and I'm pretty sure iFrames are depreciated.
Not deprecated. Standard frames are, iframes are allowed, they're just shunned.
I use dyndns for a free domain name, only thing is you have to click a link to keep your name active every month or so
they also have a nifty little program to update your ip address with them if you have a dynamic ip
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324373204578374611351125202.html

Criminals can still just spend their dirty money on mining hardware / ASICs and mine out the coins using that.

My router can do that too, it's pretty nifty.
I used co.cc because not only free, but I can actually set it up so my domain doesn't point to their shit, unlike other free domain shit.

dyndns doesn't do that either
Also, after farting around with a few different git GUI clients on Ganno+Loonix I've come to the conclusion that they are all shit and its just easier to use the command line.
Huh.
This is pretty much true for git. You can never do everything in a GUI.

A lot of the time it just causes more pain than what it's worth. The only useful thing they're useful for is visualizations (Commit charts and shit) and easier committing. Not much else.

I cant find out how to get a free one from dyndns. Tell me your secrets.
I guess I'll get the rubberized one. I want to buy all my cables, take the TV off and then hook it all up and then put it back up.
What I want to do is connect all the cables to the TV then route them to like a separate box where I can plug consoles into, kind of like a Hub. Anyone know how to do that.
Meh, you beat me by two screens, but mine are bigger (1920x1080, 1920x1080, 1200x1600).
I'd have another one if I could find a Mini-DP converter.
I just ended up ordering a Mini-dp to vga adapter for my Trinitron. My mis-matched monitors, I love them so.
1680x1050 22", 1920x1080 21.5", 1920x1440 22" CRT, 2560x1440 27".
I love amazon prime, ordered that adapter yesterday at 4PM, got free 2-day shipping from Arizona. It is already here.
You can always pay for a domain. Mine costs £7 per year, and then it will all be good and proper.

you have to start the free 14 day trial, after it's over you can keep 1 domain name for forever for free
[editline]22nd March 2013[/editline]
I'm grandfathered in or something, I signed up ages ago, so I never had to do the trial

With AppleTV, probably.

Maybe he'd set up the living room TV as some sort of a default monitor earlier and the thing fell back to using it after he dropped the second monitor.

I used one of these in my main room before I got the receiver. It works fine, the remote is shit so I wouldn't use that but otherwise it... works. I wouldn't expect anything great, though.
That's 100% what I'm not looking for, but thanks.
THink of like a box in the wall you route ethernet to for stuff to plug in. I want to mount it to the wall to plug stuff into.

I think he means something with a faceplate? I'm not sure.
