• GTX 970 top half of screen glitch

I believe I found a thread about this before. My GTX is experiencing issues where the top half of the screen is slightly delayed and glitchy. I am unable to get a accurate screen shot or video of it as everytime I tried recording or screenshotting, it stops. It also stops after tabbing out. Try taking it out of the computer while its unplugged, cords and all, and remove all cords from monitors as well, then hook all of it back up I've had tons of issues with monitors regarding the cables themselves. It could easily just be plugged in wrong so make sure you try and plug it back in nice and strong, or try another cable all together Remember to register it just incase http://www.evga.com/support/register.asp

Do you think it is possibly a monitor refresh rate issue?
is the screenshot in the op a recreation? it sounds like screen tearing to me, does enabling vsync make it stop? it wouldn't show up in screenshots though

I hate to bring this back to life, I just didn't want to make a new thread and waste peoples time. I have an Asus Strix GTX 960 and I have the same problem. I had the same problem when I used to record with fraps. I haven't tried enabling vync yet but is there another fix or would I be able to enable vsync without having that sort of mouse delay? It's incredibly annoying while aiming in CS. Thanks :)

Thank you :joy:
get a monitor with freesync or gsync
alternatively a higher hz monitor also helps higher hz makes screen tearing way less severe it also makes things WAY smoother of course combining methods for a shooter would be perfect
Yeah, I have a similar problem with my GTX 970. I could only see 7/8 of the screen, but overclocking the monitor helped. You should try it, most monitors can squeeze out at least 10 more or so.
