Mechanical is a matter of opinion
Yep, and most people fall on the mechanical side once they've tried it.
[editline]04:43PM[/editline] I personally think they're too expensive for what they offer
Again, that's your own opinion. But just because you don't see the benefits, doesn't mean that it's a bandwagon, nor that the OP wouldn't appreciate the features.
[editline]04:44PM[/editline] Not to mention most of them look like shit
Totally wrong. The older Model M's and customizers look awful. But companies like Filco, Das, even iRocks have great looking mechanical keyboards.
The Model Ms look cool, it kinda grows on you.
I had just finished in like the sentence before that implying that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Way to read. And they really don't, in my opinion. They're grossly oversized, they're that horrible beige/white color, and they're so loud I had complaints from my neighbors because I would stay up late using it with the window open. Model M's are the cheapest mechanical keyboard you can get FOR A REASON.

Look no further.
No, I've had that mouse before, hated it, and that keyboard is almost exactly like what I have now.
i have the razer lycosa mirror, its a fantastic keyboard for the price imo.
Get a logitech G110, never buy anything by razer. [editline]03:53AM[/editline] Razer keyboards are turds of shit with keys on it, it will break within a week, ive had one.
I own the X6 (selling in marketplace) and it is a great keyboard.
To be perfectly honest with you, from what i've heard the Saitek Eclipse isn't too great. I advise you go for the Saitek Cyborg, it's a great keyboard and superior to the Eclipse in my opinion.
Your joking right?
I think I'm going to get the Sidewinder X6. [editline]07:36PM[/editline] Page king! Woot.(I'm not sure why this matters.. theres a first for everything I guess.)
I have the X6, Personally in my opinion i think it's an Okay keyboard, it's my first "Gaming" keyboard, my only problem is it doesn't have the stand things on the bottom to prop it up.
I like my Logitech G15 http://www.logitech.com/en-us/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3498
http://www.clickykeyboards.com/index.cfm/fa/items.main/parentcat/9231/subcatid/0/id/439884 Epicness.
I got a Deck Legend and I love it. Everything else just feels like crap now compared to it. Its expensive, but its built like a tank. Look at the guts of it... [img_thumb]http://www.rewiredgear.net/modImages/keyboard_assembled_large.jpg[/img_thumb] Now tell me thats not built to last.

why does playing in the dark require backlighting
Because otherwise you can't see your keys. Obvious.
On my new computer I am getting a sidewinder X8 or whatever you call it. I like the volume system they have and I don't have to worry about drivers cause it's made by Microsoft.
That, and you could always invest in a desk lamp instead of relying on something that's only present in cheaply-made ricer trashheaps.
:frogout:
I would personally suggest you get a logitech keyboard instead. They are reliable, look sleek and pretty, plus its very easy to pop them open to clean. Just for the love of god, don't get a scissor switch keyboard.
