oh god how the subs are dropping.
watch as you get a 32GB gen1 ssd
I'd be some combination of off the charts mad and disappointed, but they are apparently giving out 120, 240, and 480 GB models.
I also just realized, Monday veterans day. Does fed-ex even operate on national holidays?
oh god how the subs are dropping.
Damn! Watching that number is like watching the Oatmeal's Indiegogo campaign... only backward.
watch motherboards.org become good now without elric
I bet the new guy will blink.
[editline]8th November 2012[/editline]
But no really, I do feel bad for Elric. He did lose his company that he put 20 years of work into all because of some asshat.
he also sold what seems like majority of his own company

help my computer is squealing at me
you may need to turn up your speakers, but it's much much louder in person
it only happens in some games, and before you say it's the hard driver there is no mechanical drive in there at the moment
edit: wrong thread oops, oh well
Command-line dubstep generator:
Linux:
perl -e "while (true) { system('espeak wubwubwub'}"
superior Mac version:
perl -e "while (true) { system('say -v cellos wubwubwub')}"
There is no Windows version. And before you ask why I use perl just to loop a command instead of using a bash loop, let me just say "fuck you, bash syntax sucks".
I did this mainly to mess with one of my coworkers, who listens to and kinda-writes dubstep.
In other news: they delayed my Internet install by one more day. No reason given, so I'm going to assume it's because they hate me.

Coil whine; it's probably nothing.
At a second hearing, I can't be all sure, but I'm fairly confident that it's just coil whine. If it annoys you much, change the part that emits the sound.
Hope everything works out for him. I'm glad people show him support.

rip guild wars 2 and stalker, never playing them again

Coilwhine, it doesn't harm your PSU/GFX so don't worry.
It must be the psu then since I just replaced the gpu, my old one over heated like nuts.

Sucks :(. Maybe you can find a good replacement.
BTW, GW2 is so much more fun with the G600!

In other other news, I nudged a coworker (dubstep guy, also a PS3 fan, also a Linux fanboy) into plotting a new build. Right now he's planning a i5 3750K and GeForce 650 in a Bitfenix Prodigy.
Did I do good?

It's shorter to type and not really any less easy to read.
I just got this Corsair GS800 like 4 months ago too :(

My G600 has made playing WoW and GW2 much more fun, it's even useful for fps games and Skyrim.
I think I'm going to order a G600 soon, It's too bad there's no wireless version though.
ohly shit XCOM is SO MUCH FUN

I've knew you could fix coil whine, but I couldn't remember that it could be done with glue.

I will, with a 200% Per day interest rate.
Wait, I only get coil whine when playing certain games. Wouldn't it be making noise all the time if it was the psu?
It does it in any Stalker game, Guild Wars 2, Battlefield 3, Metro 2033, and Rage.

What makes you think that?
The PSU has to put out more power when it's needed, aka when you're playing said games.

You said you just changed the GPU, so it sounds like your new card is at fault.
Idk, it makes it every now and then when idle.
Just a slight squeal sound for a few seconds then stops. It's really only audible when in certain games.
You said you just changed the GPU, so it sounds like your new card is at fault.
Nope. It did it with both cards, and I tested it with a different as well when waiting for the the replacement.
