So Microsoft visited my college today, they had a booth where they were showing touch-enabled laptops and Windows RT tablets. If you completed a survey you got this cloth (for cleaning screens) and a free drink (carbonated water or coke). Anyway, I tried some of the RT tablets and they're pretty slow (dropped frames, sluggish etc) and quite expensive. But if it had better performance I would definitely like to have one.
I guess every Windows 8 machine will be shipping with a cloth to wipe all those fingerprints off it.
XCOM is so much fun I'm thinking about getting a remote PC control thing going just to play it from my netbook. is that even possible :v:?
So I was getting sick of wireless shit and dumped my keyboard
Until I buy a mech, I'm now using an identical keyboard, only this one's white and wired
I then realized this keyboard is about 9 years old and immediately ripped up a key

Protip: leaving the keys in a container with hot water and laundry powder works absolute wonders on them.

I have no such problems with the tablet I'm on right now. Which tablet did you use? Also I got a free hat from the same survey, that beats your cloth :v:
I got like, a fuckload of copies of the following two games:
Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay: Developer's Cut
Ground Control 2: Operation Exodus
Are any of them worth playing or should I just give all of them away during our school campaign?

I have the same tablet. Asus Vivo Tab RT. I have had absolutely no performance issues aside from unoptimized games.

Dunno, I noticed the most slowdowns in IE. I tried browsing this site www.aftonbladet.se and it was stuttery and not a pleasant experience.

Certainly usable on my tablet. It does appear to skip a few frames though and content took awhile to pop in if you scrolled far. Not unpleasant for me though.

Certainly a good browsing experience to be had with one of those, yep :v:
The thing I despise about iPads and android tablets is that it's a mobile browser and some webpages go 'Oh, this is a phone! Better redirect them to the crappy phone site we have!'
help guys I'm at school and realized I forgot my wallet
now I am hungry, what can I do to remedy this? i would try the bank but they require a driver's license or equivalent ID for withdrawals
Got a wallet app set up on your phone?
I have my bank's mobile app, but seeing as it's an iPhone it's unlikely I can use it as one

Chrome for iOS fixes that 98% of the time.
Unfortunate. I've been to a vending machine and got a can of coke with Google Wallet and the free $10 I was given.
This might be a stretch but do you think the bank would accept a photo of my driver's license? :v:
If its clear enough and its obviously you pictured on the license, give it a go!
It's kinda fuzzy but it's also very clearly not doctored. I can probably get away with it if I just want to withdraw $20.
From the mcafee thread.

It's amusing how by the point he says you have to be subscribed I just go "Oh well my GNex is perfectly fine anyway."
(Except that I don't actually have it now; We shall see what the warrantypeople think of but I hope they'd just send me a xxxC9xxxx one.)
