Just leave a load of unmarked QR codes around. Somebody WILL scan them and enter whatever details.
you're forgetting I live in a third world country man I miss flagdog
And now Intel has no real competition. What a shame.
you're forgetting I live in a third world country man I miss flagdog
RIP you useful, useful little addon :(
You should get a geiger counter and scan your parts for dangerous amounts of micromakols in other newsss I just did a presentation on social engineering and keyloggers, it was quite fun to do
Social Engineering is fun.
So apparently, there is a hidden power thing in the Intel RST software that has other people seeing dropped drives or the same drives dropping all the time. So I found a drive on how to turn it off and going to try it when I get home.
Social Engineering is fun.
Hello this is sanjay from facepunch ltd. support, I need to verify your username, password and ssn number
http://semiaccurate.com/2012/11/19/amd-kills-off-big-cores-kaveri-steamroller-and-excavator uh oh.
Aww crap, get Razer on the line, PC gaming is at stake again.
Loongson and VIA to the rescue!
lol Loongson. The first thing that comes to my mind, is Richard Stallman.
Loongson and VIA to the rescue!
Wow I haven't heard of VIA in forever, their audio drivers were the best (I was 12, didn't have an internet connection and the driver came with a 3D asteroids game to demonstrate 3D positional sound, it was awesome) [editline]19th November 2012[/editline] my merges, my beautiful beautiful merges
Windows decided it was time to update my graphics driver in the middle of doing something Screen goes blank, then 800x600, classy Of course it never installs the new driver properly either, so I go to the nvidia site to get the latest one "Just gotta go here an--" Big fucking Black Ops 2 ad covering everything Close button is somewhere outside of the screen
http://semiaccurate.com/2012/11/19/amd-kills-off-big-cores-kaveri-steamroller-and-excavator uh oh.
Well, they'll to release something after Piledriver, otherwise they're just fucked. In my opinion, they should try a more traditional design, and just try to optimize the hell out of it. It'll probably be cheaper to develop, and an improved Phenom design could probably be as competitive as a bulldozer based one.
Oh small errors, Fuck you all Was doing some stuff in packet tracer for a class and one of the routers could not route, which makes them kinda useless. After something like 20 minutes of looking for the error (route table, incorrect configs, me being bad a subnetting and so on) i found the issue. One of the routers had a 1 at one point in it's address instead of a 2 Fucking numbers. Got it working after that
An improved Phenom would still be very far behind the curve compared to Intel's offerings. They most likely want to make use of the r&d they have already put in and optimize or at least start in the right direction. My friend recently purchased a run of the mill Amd apu system to supplement his overkill desktop. It is pretty nice, can't compete against my Sager, but it great for movies, games, and office work. [editline]19th November 2012[/editline]
Oh small errors, Fuck you all
I didn't think my external was plugged in so I just went ahead and dd'ed /dev/sdc Turns out it was on and the Rpi sd card was sdd. Managed to recover most of the data, but my tv/anime was hit pretty hard. At least I can format it to ext4 now, and the data is just a few hours on campus of downloading.
what to do with a dead/dying SSD
Thermite. Oh you mean how to use it? The answer is still Thermite.
I meant literally anything what do. its on its way out
Recycle it?
ehmett if you burn your shed down/explode it don't blame me http://how2dostuff.blogspot.com/2006/01/how-to-make-thermite.html
That's hardly interesting isn't it
guns etc
Is it dying due to wear or is it just failing? If it is wear I would put it in an enclosure and use it for backup for very important files, which for me would be my scans of all my important documents. It will eventually stop writing and then it will be a read only drive of sensitive data.
I meant literally anything what do. its on its way out where to obtain thermite
You're welcome Please film results [editline]19th November 2012[/editline] Do it underwater for extra cool effect
It's dying from wear yeah, starting to fail. That's a good idea but not nearly as good an idea as a .50 Desert Eagle maybe [editline]19th November 2012[/editline] does shooting thermite make it explode
Thermite burns with the fiery rage of a thousand suns and needs about a tenth of that heat to start the reaction, so probably not people don't use explosives you can shoot to ignite, they learnt that lesson when the WW2 napalm thrower guy got his tank shot

I closed a pound of that stuff in a laptop once... took me 20 minutes to find the motherboard.
Damnit Microcenter really needs to open up some Canadian locations.
There's one in Madison Heights, a 20-30 minute drive from the Detroit-Windsor bridge. [editline]19th November 2012[/editline] of course that's assuming you're willing to drive to Detroit from wherever you are and deal with customs just to buy some PC parts in person [editline]19th November 2012[/editline] It's sure fun to look around though.
