I hope they produce more in depth trailers for Win8, the one just released is a little lacking in...detail :v:
i just want surface
10 minute phone call because this lady's laptop "broke". I guess the "desktop" shut off for no reason, so now the laptop is also broken as a result. Except when I say "desktop" I actually mean the external monitor. And when I say it shut off for no reason, I mean I literally heard the cable drop out the back when I had her press the power button.
Alright, so the subwoofer I found does have a pretty busted cabinet. There's a leak in one of the corners, so under a lot of air pressure it starts sounding like pffpfpf. What's a good way to seal the hole? I think using a gluegun could be a solution, but if anybody knows for sure it'd be nice to know.

Aha, interesting. [editline]15th October 2012[/editline] Should I use white or transparent glue in your guys' opinion? :v:
http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/2180 They've officially announced that the Raspberry Pi will ship with 512MB of RAM now.
So now it has just as much RAM as my phone or an Xbox 360
http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/2180 They've officially announced that the Raspberry Pi will ship with 512MB of RAM now.
I just got my Pi for fucks sake
I'll probably buy another at some point, maybe once they release Android for the Pi. XBMC runs well enough right now that it might be replacing the Xbox that's currently running XBMC.
Duct tape. Lots of it.
I'll wait with the duct tape until I need to fix the surround foam lol.
I wonder if it's still too late to cancel my order from RS and get a 512 somehow [editline]15th October 2012[/editline] Actually scrap that, gonna get another one and use the 256MB one as an XBMC device downstairs. [editline]15th October 2012[/editline] Oh wait, still hope.
The downside of this suggestion for us is that we’re very attached to $35 as our highest price point. With this in mind, we’re pleased to announce that from today all Model B Raspberry Pis will ship with 512MB of RAM as standard. If you have an outstanding order with either distributor, you will receive the upgraded device in place of the 256MB version you ordered. Units should start arriving in customers’ hands today, and we will be making a firmware upgrade available in the next couple of days to enable access to the additional memory.
I can get a Sun Type 6 keyboard for pretty cheap, but it's the MiniDIN-8 (think PS/2 but with 2 extra pins) version. Is there any way to easily convert that to PS/2 or USB, DIY or manufactured converter?
Use that shit they use to fix holes in tires
What do they use? I don't know shit about anything
A Google for the string "that shit they use to fix holes in tires" gives me Fix-a-Flat (probably a brand name) and also something about corroding the tires or something. maybe i had a bad idea.
bought amped wireless 20000g and im jizzing everywhere went outside my house, across the street. Two and a half houses down i get my router "Romney Sucks"
I am taking a "Business" course in my school and the teacher I have is an old lady who believes that she knows everything about computers and teaches us how to use Microsoft word and move windows around Kill me please
What do they use? I don't know shit about anything
You can use a hot glue gun if you want. I personally use wood glue and cloth (sorta like a ghetto fiber glass type thing.) [editline]16th October 2012[/editline] Hell i fixed the hole in my subwoofers dust cap with that method and it works a treat.
anyone else's chrome having abysmal performance? when I scroll it just stutters like mad. I've done the obvious aka disabling all addons, making sure it's up to date. It runs better on my 1.4GHz APU laptop than my i5-2500k desktop for christ's sake [editline]15th October 2012[/editline] It's really only bad in thread views, too.
It must be. My mom's laptop runs Flash terribly as well, but only under Chrome. IE is fine. Hers is vanilla Chrome too. Though it's definitely not flash that's bogging down my performance unless a phantom flash process is running

Funnily enough, my laptop takes it like a champ with 55 tabs open.
Pepper;38052765']I've noticed that scrolling is fucked when browsing facepunch threads with lots of videos on my desktop. Funnily enough, my laptop takes it like a champ with 55 tabs open.
That's really weird. Both my PCs run the same version of Windows (8 Pro), have the same apps running. The only thing I can think of is for some reason I can't get my video drivers installed on my desktop so I can play with Catalyst settings (my second monitor has a fucked up color profile) but 3D performance and anything else GPU accelerated works fine. I'm beginning to think Chrome is just starting to suck.
I run chromium on my school laptop which runs much better than opera on this thing. While on my desktop i use Opera only , and chrome for sites that dont suppot opera and bf3.
That feel when a prof announces that the class average was less than 30% on a test, one person got a perfect score, one person got a 90%, nobody else broke 60%, and you log onto the online grade tool only to realize that you were the one with the perfect score. So apparently posting on facepunch and watching dota 2 tournaments during a networking class makes me a model student.
Protocol 7 and Strikebango Do you always post together on purpose, or what?
6.25MB/s Is my e-penis big enough guys?
I'm not sure... Just so you know, at least in LA. Steam caps their download at around 500mbit/s
I felt pretty smug today in my Local Area Networks class. There was a question with the output of the "show ip route" command on Cisco IOS and asked what the R meant next to an IP route. I somehow correctly answered correctly, and the instructor said that I was the only one who got it right. Bonus marks, motherfucker.
Hows about some form of contest, Person who can throw off the longest wifi signal saying "Romney Sucks" wins a computer part or electronic device. Bonus points or other options including area where it covers (A starbucks or something alike where people always attempt to get wifi) or parks etc. Not settled but sounds intresting?
