I wouldn't mind throwing my home wifi as far as Safeway except the problem with that is the walls in Safeway must be lined with lead or something because not a single type of signal can get through them

Discounted heavily from where i work its so worth it
Hows about some form of contest, Person who can throw off the longest wifi signal saying "Romney Sucks" wins a computer part or electronic device. Bonus points or other options including area where it covers (A starbucks or something alike where people always attempt to get wifi) or parks etc. Not settled but sounds intresting?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but for a wireless signal to be broadcasted and announced, you don't need an internet signal. Couldn't you use a wireless dongle and a rPi to broadcast a "Romney Sucks" wifi point, and just leave it near a starbucks?

I get that. But if you want to target a starbucks or any other location, thats how I would do it.

Intel HT "cores" are just as fast as your AMD cores ;) Also, looks like Microcenter tags. Am I right?
I'll wait with the duct tape until I need to fix the surround foam lol.
Major props for EPI. Speaking of audio, you know you're doing something so very right when you've got to add 50 pounds of reinforcement to your ikea sofa in order to mount movie sound effects hardware. I am pleased to say that watching Avengers with 1800watts of ass kicking tactile transducers blurring your vision during explosions is more than intense. Now I just need to build a 10cubic foot cabinet to mount an 18" Subwoofer driver in that will be given a healthy 1000 watts of power. I think at that point I will be able to destroy the house successfully. Take that Tesla, I'll actually succeed in using resonant frequencies to take down a structure. [img_thumb]http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/ajackss/shakers.jpg?t=1350360267http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/ajackss/shakers.jpg?t=1350360267[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/ajackss/sofa-1.jpg?t=1350360273[/img_thumb] Also that is just the reinforcement for the longer sofa section, the chaise lounge that is attached as well also has a separate floating structure with it's own tactile transducer. Best way to get a consistent effect across a modular sofa.
Not sure, any suggestions?
Give me one for $5
Not sure, any suggestions?
Give me one for free.
Not sure, any suggestions?
Well look what you started, now all the other children are begging. Do you have enough to share with the class?
are buttkicker's really that good? i hear they're pretty gimmicky and it's better just to get normal subwoofers
They are no substitute for good subwoofers, but properly installed they are a great addition to a home theater setup. I would absolutely stay away from the smaller ones, and those gimmicky ass gamer ones and such. Poorly installed they are mediocre, properly installed they add quite a bit of immersion. You have to have a nice high quality subwoofer to be able to justify tactile transducers, if you don't then the gap between tactile transducers and the sub is just not believable. Right now I'm running a Reference series 15" Dayton subwoofer in a 4 cubic foot cabinet getting fed 1000 watts from a dedicated amp. That driver can dig down to 18hz and completely pressurize the room as is, that combined with the fact that my room is sitting on floating joists means I get quite a lot of tactile response from the driver alone and the transducer is set to kick in at 40hz and bellow and can dig down to 5hz which really adds to the immersion. Also having the transducers properly installed on a platform riser or reinforced and isolated furniture is necessary. Now that Dayton has released a high fidelity reference series 18 I have jumped on that and now I just need to build the cabniet for it, with an 18" being fed 1000 watts RMS I'll have an absolutely immersive system. The rest of the system is a Denon AVR-2313, Dayton 1000w Dedicated subwoofer amp and a matching A/D/S HT400 series mains, center and surrounds. I've got two more for a 7.1 setup but I don't have the option in my current room.
So basically, your neighbors hate your guts.

He can crank it and you cant even hear it upstairs. But at the lowest possible volume you can hear my 2.1's sub outside my house about ten feet from the wall. Granted I live in a trailer, but still.

Parents haven't left the house together yet so I'm hoping they do so I can truly test the sub at like half volume.

I have never been disappointed with any logitech product I've owned. Right now on my main rig I'm running a cheap $20 logitech speaker setup with the speakers up behind the monitor and the sub under the desk. The S220, I got them as a temporary solution but for the last 3 years I've not felt the need to upgrade them since they do the job.
I really need better satellites. This 90W home theater sub for my 2.1 setup kicks even at fucking 15% power. Holy shit. But my speakers blow =( As for the ghost keys, I'll see what my guys want to do with them. If none of them wants it. cough cough, wingar, then I guess I could do a drawing. EDIT: Who cares what wingar thinks, he just said I sounded like Christopher Mintz
Yep. Got it last thursday right before I quit at Walmart. I did test is at a quarter volume and it was able to vibrate the floor in my living room 10 feet away as well as the window over my desk. For only 21 watts to the sub, its amazing. But take into consideration that the floor of my bedroom is almost the same piece of wood as the one in the living room since I live in something similar, but less trashy, to this: [t]http://www.northcountryaffordablehousing.com/images/hillMobileHome1.jpg[/t]
Huh. Doom 3 BFG edition is out.
