What are the chunks called into which the available storage space on a disk is broken?
(a) bits
(b) bytes
(c) segments
(d) sectors
I don't even.
I don't even.
I think they mean sectors.
It's a horribly written question.
You'd think it was sectors. Checking the grades it was bits. :v:
Sent the prof an email. This last test had 3 or 4 questions that were like that, and while I realize the class is graded on a curve, questions like this are ridiculous.
Huh. I can pull the hard-drive on my laptop while its running and put it back in and Windows doesn't give a shit :v:

chunk implies more than one, and it specifies "on a disk", leading you to believe sectors is the answer. I'd complain because bits aren't exclusive to disks.
I don't even.
e. clusters
e. clusters
Which are groups of sectors
which are groups of bytes.
Pepper;38659557']Which are groups of sectors

which are groups of bits, but storage is only accessible and "broken" into clusters (in a literal sense when the data is fragmented)
You are all using logic.
Stop it.
Similar to how you could pull the disc out of a PS1 and play up until it got to a loading screen.
this actually happened to me a long time ago when some friends were over for the night, we were playing a PES tournament on a slim PS2, someone gets excited, pulls the controller and the thing falls three or four feet to the floor, the tray opens and the disc jumps out and across the room, and the game is still on. We laugh for a good couple minutes and then resume play, disc still out, until we hit a loading screen and it crashes.
PS2 don't give a fuck.
I loved doing that with GTAs on PSP, you got to ride in the city, as it slowly ceased to exist around you.
I found some content. Door content.

Door handles don't go that way...
So Red Faction: Armageddon is really fun and basically "fuck shit up: the game" but my graphics card cries whenever I blow something up.
Still fun. And by that I mean fun in still images.
So, I haven't played any Hitman games before, so I just tried the Blood Money demo on Steam.
Is it worth getting the 20€ collection on Steam, or is Blood Money the only good game?

Blood Money is by far the best game (absolution just came out and it apparently blew it out of the water though) and the others are very old looking and their mechanics are worse and stuff
Go for it if it's a decent deal in your opinion, but I'd just get Blood Money.

Started defragging and forgot about it for a day. Lovely.
I'm using an old-ish LCD monitor, and I can hear a faint whining noise from it. It becomes much louder the more of the screen is covered in dark colours.
Should I be worried?

People still use the default defragmenter? I find Defraggler way better.
I use Auslogics, for some reason Defraggler is slow as fuck for me.

RF:A was horrible. They implemented all these amazing things in RF:G Like open world and took them out in RF:A and added in a mediocre story. By far the worst RF.

and that was the only reason RF:A flopped. Just because RF:G was before it. For some reason everyone expected it to be open world and stuff. By itself, its a fun game but everyone despises it compared to RF:G

a case of dukenukemforeverism hm
(yes the game was bad but the reviews would have been much better if it wasn't compared to Duke Nukem 3D)

It might not have been much compared to DN3D but why should we judge a game in 2011 on standards from 1999. A game in 2011 should play and fit the standards of 2011.
Same deal for RF:A. The old Red Faction games we're good, RF:A was the same style, with RF:G we moved onto a new game style. RF:A didn't.
Uhm sorry guys but RFA is shit even if the other games didnt exist.
It was the most fun I'd had in a game for a long time when I played it, open world or not. That's the definition of a good game in my book.

story's shit sure, but its still a fun game.
