Uhm sorry guys but RFA is shit even if the other games didnt exist.
The story was mediocre and the destruction didn't improve at all since RF:G. There's no selling point. Multiplayer was crap, too.
So my wishlist this year is a copy of Windows 7 and a Nexus 4, any good?
Windows 8 is better.....

I want 7 because I'm more familiar with it and to be honest anything's better than Vista.
Buy 8 so you can become "familiar" with it :hehe:

Question, have you tried it? It's worth adjusting to. I absolutely love it. But, it's different for each person and you just have to try it. Simple as that.

Well, it's pretty much the same price on Scan. I might do it, anything I should know first?
Well, it's pretty much the same price on Scan. I might do it, anything I should know first?
yeah, they're the same except windows 8 is faster and more optimized and has some nice helpful changes to the UI (task manager)
oh and there's a fancy start screen instead of the start menu but you don't have to touch it if you don't want, just press win+D to go to the desktop from anywhere

Learn the new hotkeys. Things CAN get a bit confusing without them.
Also, windows 8 is nice with multiple monitors.

Oh really, like what?
Oh really, like what?
Some things in the Metro home screen are a little confusing at first, like how to get to the all programs section, also quick things like opening the charms bar or open the desktop quickly. It's all nice.
I thought chiclet keys would be shit, turns out they're not that bad if it's really a ThinkPad's keyboard.
Whats the page for Windows 8 if you say you got 7 in the past few months.

The tilting scrollwheel is great on my mouse, I have it bound to switch between tabs. I'm currently looking for other things to bind the buttons to.

Oh god why haven't I ever thought about this? Gonna try it now.

What mouse?
Logitech G600. It's my first mouse that cost more than 15 bucks, so I really like it.
I've got a G400 right now.
Its diffrent. I've got a Roccat Pyra and a Deathadder and this one is just feels diffrent.
lynx renders FP pretty good.
lynx renders FP pretty good.
I really like lynx.
Its pretty useful on linux servers and embedded systems.
[editline]1st December 2012[/editline]

[editline]1st December 2012[/editline]

What do you guys bind your third main button to with the G600? I know there are a few sipwickets who have one, and I'm thinking about asking for one for christmas

In gaming:
- melee
- sprint
- Spamming random insults in CoD
In Programming
- pasting predefined snippets.

Usually melee in shooters or sprint in rpgs.
Fuck, I put my new motherboard in and had to reinstall windows, and I must have done something wrong apparently because no matter what I did for hours it wouldn't let me access any of my old files. I formatted because I was tired of trying and now I have to download 300gb of games, music, movies, and programs all over again on my terrible connection. I've been getting 40 kB/s all day.

[editline]1st December 2012[/editline]
also, how practical is it to bind the 1-5 keys to the side buttons and switch weapons in games? is it really easy to tell which you're actually hitting?

yes.
and that was the only reason RF:A flopped. Just because RF:G was before it. For some reason everyone expected it to be open world and stuff. By itself, its a fun game but everyone despises it compared to RF:G
RF:G was an awful red faction game. It was repetitive and the free roam sucked. RF:A is a much better red faction, but still worse than the first two.
