you can try using a knife and scratch away the coating of the severed traces and solder them together with a piece of 30 awg wire
unfortunetly, worse.

That's even easier to fix, are the solder pads still intact on the board?

That looks very easily solderable

That looks very easy to just cut and strip the wires and solder them directly
That looks very easy to just cut and strip the wires and solder them directly
Knowing me, i'll end up soldering them all together.
[editline]2nd December 2012[/editline]
Wait, even if I could, don't you need a smaller soldering tip for that?
Okay so I know Brt always complains about video quality but I think it's my turn.

It's like half the fucking frames are fucking missing. And it's also making everyone in that video look fatter than they actually are because of whatever retarded aspect ratio they used. I mean what the fuck, you're a WMG artist, can't they get some decent shit?
I mean hell at least they fixed it in later videos and started doing shit right...

But what the fuck is wrong with that first video...
[t]http://i.imgur.com/TRrld.jpg[/t]
That's piss easy to fix, just "clean" the connector contacts and the solder pads by retinning it, and then solder each pin one by one after placing it down on the board. Make sure you use plenty of flux. You may want to use some hot glue to hold the part in place afterward since you ripped out the supporting pads on the side

For aspect, they probably had a 4:3 Project which had 16:9 content. They then letterboxed it, and then stretched it to fit 16:9 to a 4:3 and again to a 16:9. Classic newb mistake. Crop and stretch will fix it.
For FPS, it's possible they did a live capture off something and kept dropping frames.

cold weather in general sucks
Try living anywhere in Canada for the winter.
plus our drivers are really bad in the snow
It's hilarious watching drivers speed at 60 mph and skidding like crazy as a Canadian.
It reached 37c today (100f).
It fucking SUCKED.
I want to move to Canadia.
Try Winnipeg, where our weather is bipolar. -30 C in the winter, +30 C in summer.

I don't want bipolar. I just want cold. Ranging from -10 to 10c. Perfect climate for me.

I'd say 0 to 20 but I'll settle for -10 to 10
Also it would be nice if it was always cloudy
-5 c is perfect but it's usually 35 to 40 c here during summer and never less than about 10 or 15 c during winter

Thanks! I'll try that right now. It also turns out that the tutorial on how to dissemble the monitor was wrong, and now the front bezel is broken and now the front bezel can't be reconnected to the rest of the body, and the way the monitor is kept together is by that bezel. Like, the LCD panel isn't even screwed into place, it's just kept in by the bezel. What's the best way to repair this?
[editline]2nd December 2012[/editline]
After a quick once-over it seems I can just put some duct tape on the bottom of it and it will be just fine. It will probably look much better too because the bottom kinda sticks out compared to my main monitor.

Yup, This, That's not to difficult to fix. I've done those double row high density connectors on laptop motherboards for the LVDS connection to the LCD before. The key really is the flux and keep the tip clean. I think the tip I tend to use is a 1.2mm Chisel.
Not gonna lie, it takes some practice but even those flat flex connectors aren't too difficult if you have a steady hand. Magnification helps.
Upstate New York: wake up at 4 am to shovel out the 4 foot of snow you got, go back to bed and get up at 6:30 to shovel out the fresh 2 foot. All in -20 F.
Wouldn't it be a better idea to just shovel out six feet at 6:30
Wouldn't it be a better idea to just shovel out six feet at 6:30
DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH SNOW THAT IS?
One does not simply SHOVEL OUT six foot of snow and be able to make it to work/school.

pls dont apply logic to dr deeps posts, it wont end well
and this is why cold weather is bad, kids

How do you think Canadians are able to survive then?

I just did some practice on an old broken flash drive with a slightly bigger connectors and I just can't do it. My hands are wayyy too shakey. I might just see if I can get a friend to help or whatever. The other problem is, if it ever breaks again, I won't be able to dissemble it without having to resolder it. But, now that I think about it, that probably won't ever happen.

I like how whenever Deeps rates a post dumb in this thread, he's almost always the only one doing so while everyone else agrees with it :v:
i installed windows 8 on my dad's laptop, almost everything was working fine
then i installed lenovo's drivers
now nothing works

I installed CM7 on my phone after using MIUI for about 3 months.
I don't know why but this feels right.
Late but
I did 1200 GB in one month once
That would be 3.7 megabits per second for a month.
Pretty sure that would max out a coaxial token ring.
Heck, that would effectively DoS Australia's oceanic connections. huehuehuehue

Our sub connections are perfectly fine and dandy. It's our intraregional shit that's absolutely fucking awful.
Its - 16°C here in norway.

That would be a problem if it was there in the first place.
