My first experince with Android was bad too, i had a HTC Wildfire at the time. I was actually going to get a wp7 lumia 900. Then i gave android another try with a Galaxy Nexus which i like a lot maybe you should give android another try?
My dad is basically the head of technology for the Northeast region for his job (I don't remember his actual title). So often has lots of stories of the stupid people he has to deal with.
He was told that "Bob" needed help with his laptop, that it "wouldn't turn on". Of course, my dad asks if it was plugged in, Bob says it is. My dad goes to investigate. When he gets to Bob's desk, he asks where the computer is.
"It's right THERE. I thought you knew how to fix computers, and you can't even find one?".
"No. Bob, Where is your Laptop?"
"Oh, It's at home, but it still wont turn on!"
"What are you trying to turn on?"
Bob was trying to power on his docking station...

I had a Droid 2 for awhile, which admittedly is shit. I bought the Xoom and I really enjoyed it, it was snappy, good looking and I could do cool shit like write C++ apps on it (which is what my homework was and still is.) One of my friends owns a GSII and I thought that the phone itself was nice but I didn't like TouchWiz either.
I've had plenty of experiences, and most of my opinion comes from my tablet. There's nothing objectively wrong with Android, I just fucking hate it, that's all.

I've used pretty much every Android device sold in Canadia, and absolutely every one Bell carries. I'm really anal about UI smoothness and it's just not for me, even the Galaxy Nexus with a coating of "butter". I've never used an international Galaxy S III or a Qualcomm one running Jellybean though so anything I say has to exclude those which I don't doubt are the smoother than anything I've used, and the Qualcomm S3 running ICS is already pretty good so I'd definitely take another look when the update rolls out here after the carriers "test" it for like ten years.

She could get the dick. In exchange I'll buy her a ZR30w.

Yeah you should definitely give Android another try, the newer phones are getting much better.
My first time experiance with Android was the Atrix 4G and oh god it was a nightmare. Within 3 month, everything started to break down from the touch screen to cameras and eventually to not powering on. Motoblur also sucked so much that in the end I wish I didn't sell my iPhone 4

Why is it bad if she has a dick?

BFG is for consoles, why would you buy it on PC?
I guess I just expected a modded Doom 3 with some minor upgrades, not a complete downgrade with a new, unopenable file format (no mods!) and locked down graphics options. No console either.
[editline]16th October 2012[/editline]
On the plus side, it does seem to actually run better than Doom 3 itself does on this machine.
She replied back wanting some clarity on resolutions, and that she wants to play at 1280x1024 for older shoters, and full res for newer games like dishonored and max payne. She's also looking at an Asus 27" QHD screen PLS.
Should I proceed to learn Thai?

I'm not normally a fan of ASUS' DCUII cards (particularly the tri-slot ones), but that's impressive.
I'm literally going to kill myself if there isn't an easy and quick way to write to a linux formatted sd card from a windows machine through a usb card reader

What in the world is a "Linux SD card"?
Ext formatted? Try ext2fsd?
