Yeah, it's 18 in Denmark, and knowing some of my friend's that just got a driver's license, they should either get more driving lesson, or else they should a mandatory period where they can't drive legally without an experienced drivers beside them (like their mom or dad). I simply think it's a bit too risky - while some 18 year-olds are responsible (my friend's are), even responsible new drivers are still new; and many new driver's are fairly reckless.

costs me a buck seventy five to start but it's worth it
The amount of high school kids who have nicer cars than me is annoying.

Well, that's capitalism for you. It's a nice system, but in-equality is sadly a central part of it.

I like the system they recently started using here in the Netherlands.
You can start your driving lessons at 16.5, then when you turn 17 you're allowed to take theory exam. As soon as you have your theory, you're allowed to do the actual exam. If you pass it before you're 18, you can pick 5 people, who have to be above 27, have a license for atleast 5 years and don't have any driving related crimes, you're then allowed to drive a car as long as they are in it and are not under the influence of alcohol/medicine/drugs

2007 Ford F150 4x4, Lariat, 3" lift, 5.4L V8. When it comes time to get new tires I'm going to go ahead and get new offroading rims and 35's. I also want to black out the entire truck soon.
Also, MTMod, I drive stick, here's my baby.

Surprisingly I don't have a picture on hand of it with the black rims and drilled/slotted rotors. Sadly she's on leave from me for the next 2 years in Hawaii, but when she comes back she's getting a turbo.
Also 16 is too young to drive, 18 is better. I got my license when I was 18, I had no need to drive before then.
When is it actually legal for you to get a driver's license? I'll be eligible in a year, but I don't think I'm gonna go through with it. Sure, it's nice to have, but it's costs a lot of money and I can pretty much bicycle wherever I normally go, and take public transport (20$ a month and I can go to pretty much any place in Zealand) where I can't.
16 for the "puppy" license (meaning you have to have somebody with you who has a
teaching card (aka your parent w/ a license and 20€ to grab it))
18 for the proper one. You can start the lessons at 17.5 afaik though.

Try Finland, you can get your theory lessons in (I think that's like somewhere around 26 hours) before you turn 18, after that you do your theory test, after which you do like 20+ hours of driving, and do your lesson where you get down to a track and they introduce you to low-friction (basically breaking on oil with no electronic assistance, shit was fun).
Then you just take the driving test where you cruise around town for like an hour, and the instructor gives you some feedback, and you get your temporary license.
After that, you have to perform a lesson where you drive during the night, during winter, to learn how to properly use your lights at night.
Then, after about a year, you get to the second part after which you get your permanent license. I haven't even done that part yet, I moved out before that, and shit costs loads, not to forget the fact that I don't have, or need, a car right now.

Oh cry me a river. You don't have to enter a thread if you don't like what it's contents are.
And besides, what are you? The discussion police? You gotta be kidding me.
Cars have both hardware and software in them. Ergo, it's related. Owned.

I'm just saying the recent minor derailing that we've had in this thread and desk thread over the last week have simply made it more interesting to read in my opinion.

Discussions don't stick to one topic, and when it changes topic, people aren't just going to collectively move to an appropriate subsection to talk about it.

Gimme a budget and I'll find ya tires. Only good thing about the Ford F series trucks is they all sit higher than Chevy's and Dodges so you can basically squeeze 35's in at stock height.
That a 3 inch puck or 3" suspension? Down the road when I get a nice 4x4 I'm gonna do a 3" puck and 6" suspension and some 38" Mickey Thompsons.
Any UK VPS Recommendations.

It's because Swog. The month while he was banned was awesome.
Seriously, have you ever tried steering an F-series? obviously not because you're still alive
So guess what I just bought?
THAT'S RIGHT, SOME FUCKING COMPUTER STUFF
I figure Ganon is more than due for an upgrade, so he's getting most of this:
Radeon 6870 (an XFX model)
2x2GB memory kit (DDR2-FB-667ECC), mainly because I still have two open slots
And one of those Mini-6pin to 6pin power cables because Apple just had to be different.
Also grabbed a new mouse for Farore (a Logitech Anywhere Mouse), a four-pack of 6" HDMI cables, a cheap RC helicopter for the company Secret Santa thing, and a copy of Advent Children because fuck you that movie is awesome
I thought about getting new processors for Ganon as well, but any LGA771 processors are either slower than I have, or cost way too much.

Or maybe you just suck? My friend parks his F-150 into a tiny garage every day by backing into it, as well as driving it on Toronto's worst highways.
