Go away Max.
not much of an advantage considering a silverado or a ram is an all around better truck
Not the fact I said "ONLY good thing"
I was born and raised with AT LEAST one Chevy in the driveway. We only recently got ourselves a Dodge and the only ford we had blew front end shit constantly so we scrapped it. We got more in scrap than what we payed for it.
Only foreign thing we had was a Nissan Sentra my step dad got that we used to drift during the winter. It was 50% rust, 50% paint.
Yep Ford makes the absolutely worst trucks, I absolutely hate everything about my truck and wish I had a Silverado or Ram, but then I remember I have not a single complaint and love my truck that has reliably taken me from coast to coast and that for in full with cash.
Worried about steering radius? Don't by a full sized truck. I parallel park my truck every day in the city without a problem.
On a tech related subject change, I'm having to ship back my new subwoofer tomorrow, It had a manufacterers defect and they are promptly sending me a new one.

Oh trust me I know all about shitty turning radius'.
Thing was impossible to turn.
The f150 might be better marketed to boat captains than drivers
Birdman, if you're taking that beautiful truck out in the snow, please tell me they don't salt the roads in your area.
I'm worried enough about rust with this thing:

A lot of the guys in my area suddenly decided it was time to become "country" and have their parents buy them trucks that they put gigantic rims on with low-pro tires and shit. Makes me wanna puke.
Whereas the truck above is the one I will inherit down the road. My first vehicle was a 9000 lbs stock Chevrolet Suburban that got 8-10 miles to the gallon and had an extra 800 lbs sitting over the rear axle in just tool weight. Plus my weight up front.
They do, but I keep that fucker clean. I had to take all the rust off the bottom once, I don't plan of having to do so again.
14. Thats why I said "my car"
If it'd be my car, it'd be registered and I would have posted a few pictures. I simply learn to drive with it around the countryside or at a factory lot. Mostly learning how to park in tight places or how to ride into a garage over a canal / maintenance hole thing.
Here in SD you can get a learner's permit at 14, then a full liscense at 16, so I can say I drove at age 14 too.
Any UK VPS Recommendations.
Me and a few friends used to have a BHost VPS, never had any issues with them. The Silver OpenVZ package, I think.
The amount of high school kids who have nicer cars than me is annoying.
Thats why when I was in HS I made sure to cover my explorer in mud weekly. To let them know that I don't give a fuck.
[editline]6th December 2012[/editline]
Getting back on topic, I need to find a laptop for my mom. It just needs to have average storage space, decent amount of RAM, and not fucking break in one year, somewhere around 450-500$.
Any suggestions?

You're right.
Lets talk about trains!
While on the subject of cars... who else (in America) drives a stick?
Canadian (Close enough), and I'm learning to drive my dad's manual 04' Audi A4. I'm almost at the point where I can stop and start on a road without stalling :v:.
I miss the Corolla. While you could floor the accelerator and not knock over a house of cards in the back seat, it was fairly comfortable and reliable.

Here in Finland most people (as far as I am aware) learn to drive manual cars because otherwise you are only legally allowed to drive cars that have automatic transmission.
Which makes a lot of sense.

I can't decide why my post is confusing but it was to such extent that I corrected it and then it was more wrong.
Jesus.

It half works, probably needs to be update for the new UI.
this new layout would look ok if the ENTIRE RIGHT SIDE wasn't white space on anything larger than a netbook screen

Have you ever been to TF2 General?
Why bitch about cars being in a tech thread?
Post both!

That's actually the second prize :v:
From the email:
Congratulations! You are a third prize winner of the Newegg.com Pimp Your Dorm Room Sweepstakes. You have won the Freshman Dorm prize package valued at $1,029.97!
Newegg did it weird. There's the Grand Prize, First Prize, Second Prize, and then Third Prize. I have to reread it to figure out what they meant. I got the fourth prize in the end of it all, but hey, I won something so I'm excited.
So I got:
• one (1) ACER M5-481T-6670 RT (ARV $679.99)
• one (1) WD My Book Live 2TB Personal Cloud Storage (ARV $199.99)
• one (1) Microsoft Office 2010 Home & Student - 3 User (ARV $149.99)
Wow someone actually won something from newegg. That's amazing.
Since they don't let like 25 states join in :p
According to the paperwork I actually won't receive anything until January.
I actually plan on giving my mom the ultrabook since she actually has never had her own computer, she uses my bother's laptop. For the Office 2010 gonna use it for the family since for whatever reason we only have 2003 (holyshit). And the external drive will be the only thing I keep for myself.
[sp]my mom wants to see if Newegg will change the ultrabook to a tablet, Nook HD or an iPad, but that depends if Acer is willing to according to the forms I filled out[/sp]
