The ThinkPad Edge E530 seems a worthy option what MTMod posted.
Honestly there isn't much you can complain about for Alienware other than its ridiculous price, overly glossy screen, and flashy aesthetics (if you dislike those).
Their build quality is quite good, better than most Sagers or MSI laptops, and the fan noise and temperatures are really quite good.
while Alienware does have slightly better build quality than MSI's gaming laptops Sager's build quality is tons better. I have an Asus ROG laptop and it's build quality is somewhere between Alienware's and Sager's.
all three laptops sound like jet engines under load though

Does anyone else share my hatred of HTML?
Does anyone else share my hatred of HTML?
I hated both it and CSS with a passion when something i tried to do at 02:45 the night before hand in didn't work. Now we grudgingly get along
I love HTML and CSS and Javascript.
But I found a new thing to hate.
Android development, and its UI design.
HTML's syntax is just ugly and horrible, javascript has to talk to HTML so it absorbs some of its nastiness.
Anyone know what these are?

Got 4 of them.
Are we talking about XHTML here or HTML5? Because HTML5 is really damn tidy, I love it.
Are you seriously saying SGML is superior to XML, and if not, what the hell are you saying?
I mean, everyone should write their HTML as if it was XML anyway, I don't see how XHTML is less tidy than HTML5. Especially since you can server HTML5 as XHTML.
(I'm still really damn irritated that they killed XHTML 2, though - maybe some of the ideas were dumb but at least it was trying to separate semantics and syntax unlike HTML 5. The damn WHATWG spec even has a sidebar link relation type. HTML doesn't need to know sidebars even exist.)
even though you can gay up the keyboard which is pretty awesome I guess

BUT MY AUTOMERGE WHY
Non-centered laptop keyboards just make me twitch. The colors are kind of ridiculous, but the offcenter board would be my primary complaint on that laptop.
Non-centered laptop keyboards just make me twitch.
...That is centered, though?
Do you mean the fact that the addition of the numpad offsets the main keyboard part?
Thinking of buying this

I was gonna upgrade like a year ago but shit got in the way of that
(Not gonna bother with a build thread, I think this is pretty perfect)
Are we talking about XHTML here or HTML5? Because HTML5 is really damn tidy, I love it.
XHTML presumably, this ugly shit:
<table border="1">
<tr>
<td>row 1, cell 1</td>
<td>row 1, cell 2</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>row 2, cell 1</td>
<td>row 2, cell 2</td>
</tr>
</table>
I cant find out how to get this "1TB hard drive combo"
I think one of the main things that bother me in HTML is the lack of consistency with head elements.
you embed a javascript file with a <script type='text/javascript' src='js/dicks.js'></script>
However a stylesheet is embedded with a... link tag? and a href attribute?
Aren't they both the same thing really? shouldn't they both be uniform?
They are both extensions to pure layout markup after all. Be that styling or interactivity.
The weird thing is that link is apparently supposed to refer to related content - but then you also include stylesheets via link elements, even though there's the style tag that kinda feels like it should be usable in the manner of script (<style type= ... src= ... />)
Nah, ugly shit like this which dreamweaver loves to splurge out.
<span bgcolor='#ff0000' color='#ffbb00' size='5' face='comic sans'>fgsfgsfgs</span>

Wait, aren't those attributes for span deprecated in everything that's not HTML 4 anyway
So I was going through my Facebook albums and came across the video where we put 1lb of tannerite in a laptop. Did I post that here?
Fuck shit fuck I accidentally supplied a inferior part number somehow when I registered my EVGA card last year and now they're shipping me an inferior card for my RMA, tried ringing their german number but they've gone home PANIC STATIONS
Bitch slap them through the internet.
shitty thing is it's kinda my fault as I didn't check the part number, don't think it asked me for the part number when I registered it though only the serial

Don't open it when it arrives and contact them about it, as long as the package remains unopened it's probably fixable.
Non-centered laptop keyboards just make me twitch. The colors are kind of ridiculous, but the offcenter board would be my primary complaint on that laptop.
If I can't get in touch with them before monday (extremely unlikely) I'll just decline the package from the UPS man
