It's not exactly hard to get frametime from framerate.
It is if you try not to assume all frames are rendered in the system at consistent times. AKA Microstutter.
It is if you try not to assume all frames are rendered in the system at consistent times. AKA Microstutter.
But then if you're running off that metric the frametime would be as useless as the framerate.
But then if you're running off that metric the frametime would be as useless as the framerate.
I mentioned frametimes because they're usually presented as a dataset collected throughout a benchmark and framerate is usually presented as a conclusion, which is, to be fair, honest, but it doesn't tell the whole story.

Ooh, I got myself one of those really cheap LED things that you put on your keychain, so I could try something I've wanted to do for a while. Filled up a sink with water, turned it on (it has a switch instead of the usual press-down thing), turned off the lights in the bathroom and just threw it in there. Looks pretty cool, it lights up the entire pool of water in a really cool way because of how light bounces around in that environment.

Went from a 19" 1440 x 900 to a 24" 1920 x 1080 monitor... fuck this is going to take some getting used to. Also, bought my Hobbit midnight premiere ticket, I can't waaiiiit!
I'm afraid to go, going to be way too many nerds and movie premieres are always full of obnoxious crowds that laugh, scream, etc, way too loudly.
but you'll miss out on the pre and post movie LARPing sessions :(
I am going, I'm just afraid. They'll also have the movie volume twice as loud to compensate for the loud crowd and my ears will be bleeding.
No cinema would do that...
It always happens here, Harry Potter was uncomfortably loud for me during the loud parts. [editline]12th December 2012[/editline] well my ears aren't literally bleeding if that's what you mean [editline]12th December 2012[/editline] and it's not ACTUALLY twice as loud, but it's definitely louder.
then complain and demand a refund
TRON was loud too

So that North Korean satellite is going out of control while in orbit. No big surprise. Thank you Reddit. I haven't laughed that hard in a while.
Been editing photos for a job all night. I spent the last two hours or so on this one photo. I've decided to do one portrait per person for now and then I'll ask them if they want me to edit the rest. Since it's going to be another like 2 days to edit this. Before and After. Flip between them using tabs if you want. http://puu.sh/1Ao1q http://puu.sh/1Ao1i Also that's while editing at 100% zoom. This shot came out amazing on my camera. 60D. 430EXII flash bounced off the side, and my Sigma 30mm.
Have these people never heard of a hairbrush?
I thought the same thing. I bet they'll ask me to digitally comb their hair. The best I can do is simple clone over their frizz.
Use paint and draw lines on their hair
I just managed to take the "bags" out of some girls eyes. I'm amazed how good it looks. I'm learning as I go. [editline]13th December 2012[/editline] Also what do you think of the photo. This was in an unlit room with only a window and a flash.
photo is good I think you should do something about the reflection in her eyes she's wearing too much makeup
I had a incredibly small amount of control. All I really could tell people is how to tilt, where to face, and where to stand. Besides that they took care of everything else. Not that I have enough experience to say anything. [editline]13th December 2012[/editline] Also holy balls females are hairy in the face apparently. Thankfully I have wingar.
