I ended up making a 20GB partition on my laptop for Windows 7 and installed a couple games on it so far. I have about 8GB free after moving the pagefile to the HDD and using the "Turn Windows features on or off" window. Does anyone have more suggestions for slimming it down?

delete system32
install gentoo
delete random parts of the registry.
Smash the case for better ventilation
The only logical thing left to do is download more RAM.

Admin command prompt: powercfg /h off [editline]14th December 2012[/editline] Should free up an amount of space equivalent to your physical RAM capacity. Enable showing hidden files and folders and showing system files, and see if there's a C:\hiberfil.sys. Disabling hibernation gets rid of that.
FYI The steam avatar changing exploit is back! Just a heads up in case someone sends you a steam link. Links look like so, just look out for the select avatar bit like anyone with common sense would: [U][B]DON'T CLICK UNLESS YOU WANT A PENGUIN AVATAR !!!! aaagh shit guys. I've been given student grant money to buy a computer (£600 or less). now i know i'm not good with computers, and i've just bought a XPS 8500 and i can't shake the feeling that i've made a terrible mistake. it's an ivy 3770 , 8 gigs RAM and a hd7570... but i know i probably could've gotten more for less if only i'd looked around for a little longer before making my mind up - reading now that a 2500k is just as good if not better than a 3770 makes me want to kick myself either tell me everything's gonna be ok or shower me in boxes i don't care

We haven't done a hangout in a while: [del]https://plus.google.com/hangouts/_/46327bae38e15fa99d9cc64c9b9d27aa8149a27c?authuser=0&hl=en[/del]
So I bought a new weakass computer last week because my G53SW has been having screen problems and wasn't really all that optimal of a carry laptop But a week after I order the screen problems magically disappear for some reason and cannot be induced how much I mess with the computer, stress testing, shaking it around and messing with the lid whereas it used to go off if i so much as farted in its general direction goddamnit asus
So I finally have money for a new monitor, but ffs its easier to find a living dodo than a 1920x1200 monitor. Is this acceptable or will it be bad for some reason? It has an IPS panel, and the 8ms won't really be much of a difference to what you already have.
where did it go? i wanted to join :c
A couple people joined and quickly left in the period of half an hour, it didn't seem like it was going to go very far tonight.
It was made by AVADirect for forensics by law enforcement apparently.
Why would they need such a thing?
As a quick guess password cracking?
Still probably wouldn't run minecraft properly
As a quick guess password cracking?
Any mid-range GPU can do that, hell maybe even an Intel Atom could do some simple password cracking.
