Pssh. No such thing as overkill.
"Maxim 37: There is no overkill. There is only 'open fire' and 'I need to reload'"
Mine's worse by far. [t]http://puu.sh/1BIqy[/t] Ignore the Yogscast thing, they're playing Farming Simulator and watching them try to play is pretty fun.
As long as it works, I couldn't care less about my router's GUI. [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] Looking good is always nice, but as long as it satisfies the lower levels of the pyramid of needs, really. I tend to take a utilitarian approach to computing.
Ours barely works.
[t]http://localhostr.com/files/QVr40CY/router.png[/t] DD-WRT is the best router firmware I have ever tried so far. OpenWRT is a piece of shit that is literally impossible to use if you have a PPPoE connection (it does not have PPPoE capability out of the box, you are supposed to download and extra package through it's own package manager to get that. Too bad it does not support local installs). I had no experience with Tomato yet, I have never had a router that supported it.
i can hack all of your ips now loosers
i can hack all of your ips now loosers
Noooooo. I'm not loose!
Eh, it works. I wish I could set my DNS servers, though.

Do all modern routers have a modem built in? I'm having to use another router in modem only mode to supply the connection to my N56, I've tried plugging the RJ11 cable straight in but it hasn't worked.

My counter-measures are ready. Do that and I'll launch a reverse meterpreter shell exploit attack on you.

I'm no script toddler. I will make him so vulnerable, a simple nmap polite traceroute will let me access his systems.

woo I wanna install Tomato on it but my roommate probably wouldn't let me :v: [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] Actually all things considered that looks pretty nice, flat colours like that are pretty easy on the eye
[t]http://puu.sh/1BKqg[/t] Well son of a bitch.
So who has the best looking UI? Mine is quite nice now. The only one was ok, but kind of badly organized.
So who has the best looking UI? Mine is quite nice now. The only one was ok, but kind of badly organized.
I should probably update my router too. I like the dark UI compared to the light blue one. [editline]17th December 2012[/editline] Here's my Telewell modem. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ZkaNR.png[/t] This thing would overheat over time and then start disconnecting from internet and other stuff. Thankfully I don't have to use this for anything else than forwarding the connection to our router, which handles everything.
could someone explain what a processor does? i'm thinking about getting an ivy bridge processor for gaming but how does it exactly work? will it improve game performance?
could someone explain what a processor does? i'm thinking about getting an ivy bridge processor for gaming but how does it exactly work? will it improve game performance?
A processor processes things. Really, it depends on the application. It's only going to utilize more cores if it's designed as such. Video games in general are more GPU dependant, but some happen to utilize the CPU more. (e.g GTA4)
urrrm what are you doing? Create a gooey interface in visual basic to backtrack his IP
You forgot the part where you need to embed a malware fractal into the plastic shell of the router
CIPWTTKT&GC v. post a witty title when people post the same things
We've done this for ages tho
[t]http://jesusfuck.me/di/0D5F/routerpage.png[/t] ehh it's not total horseshit [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] don't ask what "Remote Access: Enabled" means, I have no idea, and last I was aware I didn't have port 22 forwarded anywhere
