How do you guys store all your components? I'm starting to run out of space.

I got a stack of about 10 HDD's in my closet, Various components including RAM and a GPU that use a connector i'v never even seen in real life in the box i got with my motherbord (also store computer manuals there)
Oh, and random cables on a shelf. Dug out my speakers to be able to watch netflix in bed and had to untangle them from 2 mice, 3 mobile chargers, 2 SATA cables and a cut of headphone cable
I'm not majorly organized
I have an old Dell case under my bed that hasn't got any guts in it that I throw my old junk into and close up, it has about 12 sticks of ~ddr2 RAM and a few old gpus in it

Not that fantastic actually. Dug it out to have a look and seem my memory mixed it with something else. I forgot the name of the connector (blaming that on getting skull jammed with postscript during the morning). It's just a normal PCI connector but with the slot in the middle of the...connector instead of further out
I forgot the name of it right now and cant find it. I did see that it could be fit into an older model Dell Optiplex...if i had it constantly opened

Oh hey, Found the first RJ45 cable i ever made, Back when i took CCNA Discovery. It's about 0.3 meters long though. I was almost last to do it and some people ahead of me had taken a bit longer cable then they needed, leaving me with about 0.4 meters of cable to use. But it might come in useful at some point
Oh there's the USB - Wallsocket charger i looked for. Shit, i need to look back there more often :v:

Wow, Amazon has great customer service. I emailed them a friendly letter asking the reason behind a three-week wait for a logitech mouse and they upgraded the shipping to one-day and shortened the shipping estimate from three weeks to three days.
Dear god.
I think I've found the most retarded phrase I've ever seen:

Currently taking them apart to see if i can get rid of some of the cases.
Speaking of space...
I need a bigger room.
[QUOTE=VistaPOWA;38075456]You Only Shit Once?[/QUOTE]
do you even read bro
You should probably put that Optiplex at the bottom of that heap. If it falls off it will [probably] tunnel into the earths core and [probably] kill us all [[probably]]
Also time for a little clearing out i'd say

If i can sell early pentium 4/athlon XP boxes without much trouble i'm sure you can sell them fine. Just make sure you clean the cases, say in the advert that they are professionally refurbished and are working like new, say they have a fresh copy of windows and just put necessary software on the PCs and say they are ready to use.
And point out features like HDMI, 7.1 surround sound DVD RW and WiFi
Your PCs look like late p4 era to me.
[editline]17th October 2012[/editline]
And another thing, post a picture of it booted and on the desktop. If you aren't selling the monitor just say monitor not included.
Won't be able to include a copy of windows as i got most of my machines without hdd's. I could say that i'm willing to add one( + install windows) if they pay for one.
Did you buy the PCs or did you get given them?

That's a Craigslist goldmine.
P4 Master race!
Depending on the capacity of that RAM it will probably sell for quite a bit (assuming DDR1)

Hooly shit those cooling towers, and that archive!
I only bought the IBM server, but that's not for sale. Most of them are from a company that always gives me their stuff. They keep the hdd's though for the data (including the one's in their printers)
If you happen to have any DDR2 PC2-3200 ECC RAM that won't cost me $100, I might buy some.

I bought a whole bunch from this guy, but it's mixed in terms of what brand you're going to get and speed. For that price, you can simply cannot say no to it.

An 80GB IDE drive would be around £8 on ebay used. If you put that in a late p4 box with 1GB RAM, XP pro and a decent case, you could get £50 - £60.
eBay also has free listings every fortnight.
[editline]17th October 2012[/editline]
Another good way of getting PCs is asking IT shops if they have any stuff they want to throw out, say that you need it for a school/uni project.
about 60% of the stuff they throw out would work. The last box i got from the one i go to just needed a new PSU.
