Question:
If I get an error saying that I do not have a valid Steam subscription for an application, and if I've tried:
Reinstalling the game, reinstalling Steam, completely removing Steam and reinstall it and the game, trying the game on a fresh install of Windows, and trying it on another computer
Wouldn't this basically mean that its not anything I can do something about and that its on Steam's end?
For some reason my monitor (Samsung Syncmaster 245bw) is fucking up color wise. I think it might be the color profile because every time i open Photoshop it gripes at me about the color profile. How do I change it for my monitor?
Also, another problem.

Notice how my secondary monitor is not even affected by f.lux.

Did you look in the games forum?
F.lux sounds like a horrible thing to do in my opinion, I have never used it but why would you want to change your color profiles throughout the day? Isn't a better option is a more controlled viewing environment with a properly calibrated display?
Well if your not doing color sensitive stuff (even then, f.lux has a 'disable for 1 hour' button for that) or anything like that, and you want to stop eye strain, its perfect.
Yes, I'm apparently the only person with that issue.
Wow, I just got myself really excited because I thought I find a fix for my problem on the Steam forums
NOPE
:sigh:

You can turn f.lux (or redshift) off whenever you want. If you need to do advanced work, then just do that.
I prefer to just keep my area well lit, though.
I still think Flux is stupid, just get some lighting behind your monitor.

Only thing it should (maybe) be used for is laptops since you aren't always in control of the environment.
flux more like sux

sorry I don't like my eyes being blinded by searing bluish white at 2 AM
Ok, third problem. Only this one isn't monitor related.
So i'm using PDANet to tether my phone so I can get WiFi, and for the past couple of days my phone just randomly disconnects from USB. I thought it was just something to do with the trial, but now its my mouse, my phone, and my keyboard that disconnects randomly, but only when im tethering. Any ideas?
Noticed that I was getting some minor stuttering in Team Fortress 2, decided to test my connection at Pingtest.

Yeah, the netcode actually handled it surprisingly well, all I noticed was that at times voice commands and attacks would not register, and kills/deaths being delayed by about a second.
Seems like I had about 40 packet loss according to net_graph.

Figure I might as well post it here, my Xbox 360 is being a cunt:
Hi,
So for some goddamn reason my Xbox now refuses to boot when plugged into my TV via HDMI. RCA (Yellow, Red, White) works fine, My PS3 works fine using the same cable, my TV supports full 1080P so it's none of those reasons.
Thing is, when I boot with standard old RCA (Yellow, Red, White), right before it boots the green ring on the front around the power button spins for a second and then the dashboard starts. It doesn't do this with HDMI, and I can't connect my controller when I try.
It's using the latest dashboard update, it's out of warranty so sending it to Microsoft is a non-option.
I've tried Googling the issue but no one seems to have the same symptoms, or at least aren't detailing them as such.
It's never had this problem up until now. The console is not modded, drive flashing or modchip.
It's an Australian Xbox 360 120GB Elite.
Any help would be lovely.
Posted it in Technical Support, so help would be nice.
Try another HDMI cable. If that doesn't help, I guess your HDMI port is ded.

What happens if you boot with RCA, then plug the HDMI cable in?
What happens if you boot with RCA, then plug the HDMI cable in?
Already tried, nothin'. It doesn't crash or anything and I can swap back to RCA at any time and it works.
