Or build a JDLC next summer and get my moms .22 and go kill squirrels.
If $50 could get me a nugget I would have 2 this weekend.
And we don't get flys up here enough to warrant that...
no you're supposed to use the flyswatter on people
Anyone know of a tray or something I can use for a small wireless mouse and keyboard on?
I considered getting a Phantom Lapboard but $130 is a bit pricey.
and the mosin nagant on flies
Also I got my parents each a 1TB portal HD for them to back up their stuff. I'm the only one that backs up their data so I want them to learn to do it habitually. Basically I have one plugged into the RT-56U router as a network drive, and then they can use the other if they need to keep it portable.
Besides that I got my mom a Nexus 7 case that can fold and stay upright so she can read. She ACTUALLY uses her nexus to read books. It's kind of... odd to see her reading on it. I use mine mostly for google docs stuff I finding. Along with youtube and social networking stuff.
no you're supposed to use the flyswatter on people
It's fucking fun getting people with them. They fucking hurt, too. They're totally awesome.
I got my friend some laptop RAM. He was like "you can upgrade that?" And I was like "What did you think those panels on the underside of your laptop are for!?"

Greeble decoration.
I love how Arianna is on your "frequently messaged" list.
Also, I'm going to Bass Pro Shops on saturday assuming we don't get buried in snow (I can't afford to pay for the gas in my truck to go 55 mph for 45 minutes, plus traffic, etc so my mom is taking me in the mini-van for free. Plus I can't drive legally till February.)
How much camo/jerky should I buy?
WE'RE GOING THROUGH A TOUGH TIME I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT MIKE.
and that list is inaccurate as fuck I don't even know who alex mcvay is
Greeble decoration.
Well I mean it is an Alienware and I was kinda surprised they only packed it with 4GB of RAM
Also It's amazing those small little 2.5" drives hold 1TB now. It's USB3 and I got them for 70 bucks each. A freakin steal if I might say.

y/n?
I've got a 250GB HDD i can stick in there
As long as they didn't somehow neuter the thing by removing the hard drive connector, I don't see why not.

$130? Holy crap. It shouldn't be too hard to build a basic version of that.
So should I build one of these next summer and go squirrel hunting?

I got a raspberry pi for christmas, ideas for things to do with it?
Also got a motorola atrix to use with it, but I'm still waiting on some of the cords.
Updated my RT56U's firmware to the latest .318 and the UI is much faster now and it's not bugging out. Also it had updates for uPnP stuff.

Also according to Asus, the RT-56U can act as a torrent box on it's own. It has a built in torrent client.

cold-cathode "neon" addons ofc
Hey, DealExtreme is having a promotion where if you have exactly $100 in your cart, you get $50 off. So, buy a cheap A9 7" Android tablet and some stocking stuffers, right?
Yeah I saw that, with how they price shit that'll be an inventory management puzzle harder than STALKER and Deus Ex combined
Also it's only for the first 200 people every day or something.
Yeah well as an avid SlickDeals shopper I thrive on this shit, and I already have configured my cart to be exactly $100:

(Omitted items so you don't steal my items and my idea :v:)
And $50 is not a bad price for some cheapo tablet!
[editline]25th December 2012[/editline]
Doing some research, they give you a coupon code for 50% off one item after you buy the exactly $100 in stuff earlier. And you only have 4 hours to use the 50% off item.
Shitty chinashops gonna shitty chinashop
that's still a pretty good deal if there's no restriction on the value of the item
you can get one of those beefy windows 7 tablets or something, they work wonders as second screens/torrentboxes/HTPCs apparently
[editline]26th December 2012[/editline]
for shits and giggles

interestingly enough the controller was three dollars more in Australia than in HK, don't even want that though
So. Family Christmas thing. We got about half the clan packed into one building, and we're playing Rock Band 3 (I grabbed RB2+3 for cheap, gifted it to my younger siblings).
Guess who we got to sing along to "Crazy Train"?
If you guessed my 70-year-old grandmother, you're right. Seriously, that is a thing that happened.
Also: a full dozen people singing "Bohemian Rhapsody" sounds awesome even when half of them can't sing.
This is exactly what happens every Wednesday night with me and my friends, except instead of being old we're drunk.
Christmas: Got two monitor mounts and a PILE of flash drives. Also my girlfriend got me one of those vinyl Death Star clocks. I'm pretty pumped not gonna lie.
Is the Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 any good?
It seems way too cheap for it's size ($160 for 3tb)

Eh, the 7200 series are kinda entry-level. Just make sure you don't get the one that they throw in all sorts of prebuilts because the entry-level 7200 series are slow, but they last a good while.
Also, check to make sure it doesn't have a comparatively low power-on lifetime. I remember that being a problem on newer Seagates.

If it has the 2yr warranty they are decent, tricky in raid unless you're running Hardware or turn off APM.
If it's 1 yr it's a chinese model and they break super easily.
Otherwise they are the fastest 7200RPM drives you can buy.
So you know when your listening to music or whatever, and your computer suddenly freezes and the audio loops like 10-100ms of what was played for a split second? Yeah, for some reason my computer has been doing that very frequently since yesterday. I haven't installed anything since a week ago, updated any drivers, or anything. Anybody have any ideas?
