So I found this on Reddit.

Someone tell me how to get metro to look like this and i'll switch to win8.
Buy it, It's only money. You can't take it with you.
Also driving is a complete money soak if you are in the UK. The lessons are the cheapest part :/

Sweet mother of god LCARS. This would genuinely make me upgrade to windows 8. Perhaps even throw away some cash for one of those touchscreen desktop things.
[editline]27th December 2012[/editline]
I can see it now. I would have it built into a desk, and it would work to control the stuff in a smart house. I would call the heating and AC stuff "Environmental Control", and I would put locks and cameras under a "Security" heading.

I'm a wizard
Just decided randomly to log onto google play store, found out my Nexus 4 shipped today.
just received my logitech g500 ~wierd feel~
Which reminds me, does anyone want to buy a Sony Arc phone, it's in decent condition apart from the silver paint is kind of coming off the buttons.
Oh and it's network AND bootloader unlocked, so you can install any ROM you want.
Running CM10 Jelly Bean Alpha at the moment, and it's pretty smooth.

[QUOTE=Lyoko774;38996776]How much?[/QUOTE]
£120 inc shipping. (shipping to England)
[editline]28th December 2012[/editline]
Will have to be helped for shipping cost if it's going elsewhere.
Is it an Xperia Arc or Arc S?
[QUOTE=Lyoko774;38996829]Is it an Xperia Arc or Arc S?[/QUOTE]
Arc, but there is no difference between the Arc and Arc S aside from the CPU frequency, which you can change if you root.
I've been running at 1.4 (Arc S frequency) with no problems. It is literally the same phone, the only difference is in the ROM.

I know this :v: I was just curious.
Anyway, you're in the UK sooo..yeah, no go for me.
Alright, after a bit of a think on the thinkpad
[sub][sub][sub][sub][sub][sub]I'll buy it for £120[/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub]
[editline]28th December 2012[/editline]
I wouldn't have done it if my thinkpad didn't have anything wrong with it.
It's got:
Broken plastics
missing ODD
bits of dirt between the backlight and LCD panel
artifacts on wake
CRAP intel x3100
loud backlight inverter.

Great! Chat to me on Steam so we can sort it out.
Eugh.
Project Horizon blogpost time. I've gotten the CPU, storage drive and RAM databases ported over. GPUs I had to redo, because a) I needed to add enough new information to make it easier than porting the existing DB and b) quite a bit of the data in there was incorrect.
I started with Intel to be simple. 56 cards, including things that aren't technically GPUs but are similar high-bandwidth processors, like the Xeon Phi, and including numerous unreleased ones like the i754 and Larrabee. Took about a day.
Today I finished the Nvidia *desktop* GPUs, from NV1 and Vanta to the 690. I haven't added any of the workstation, GPGPU or mobile cards (although I did include the XGPU and RSX). That's still 277 cards (not counting variations purely on VRAM, as one of the changes I'm making is splitting that out).
Very tedious work, particularly trying to keep it all straight (did you really need SEVEN variants of the 8800, Nvidia? Or all those rebadges? You restarted your numbering system three years ago and you're already halfway through them AGAIN because of shit like the 100 and 300 series).
You notice some interesting things, though, when you're collating all this information. For instance, since I'm storing VRAM amounts normalized for bus width (so 256MB on a 64-bit bus is the same as 1GB on a 256-bit bus), I can see how slowly capacity-per-bus-bit has increased. As late as the 5xx series you could find 256MB chips, something you could find as early as the 5xxx series. Or that lower-end cards tend to have more capacity per bus bit than the high-end.
Anyways, I'll be adding the ATI/AMD desktop/console cards next, then working on balancing the gameplay and getting the game running again before I cram the laptop and workstation cards back in.
So, I'm subscribed to a bunch of mailing lists, so I get all kinds of mail 24/7.
I got a mail notification, and saw this:

Now, in 99% of cases, I don't even read the mail I get, and in 99% of the mails that I read, I don't reply.
But somehow, this guy ticked me off in the right way, and I couldn't help but to reply with this:

Oh also I stabbed myself at work today with a knife, then walked out into the parking lot to go to the other warehouse and fell and stabbed myself when my jerky tin crushed and broke. Fuck Thursdays.
I am now the owner of a pair of thinkpad T61s
[editline]28th December 2012[/editline]
My current one will probably get pillaged for parts.
I swear i'm gonna end up like Pentium but with modern hardware.
Anyone here have experience with the G700?
I have yet to buy a mouse for my laptop.
My friend has one and I've used it on plenty of occasions, what do you want to know?
