But does the K53TA have the new piledriver or what the newest apu for laptops is called again.
Definitely not. With that said, it doesn't need it, it has a dedicated graphics card.
Now i've played through uncharted 3, every other PS3 game looks like SHIT in terms of eye candy
I know how that goes. I have Uncharted: GA on my Vita and everything else just looks like shit. Damn powerful handheld console.
Its kinda brutal that thing can even run bc2 on high, because in frostbyte everything higher than 30 fps is smooth.(in my experince) On the test i saw it got 38 fps avg? keep in mind that is with 1xAA.
I was able to run BF3 on High with it, but some thing with the audio drivers made it bluescreen after awhile (not temperature, trust me, I have mine well cooled). Still a good machine for the price
Fixable if you're handy with a soldering iron and the board isn't multilayer (Given I can see wire links, I don't think it is) I'd glue the board piece back in place, scrape back the coating on the PCB tracks where the boards meet, then create solder bridges to reconnect the two board pieces. For components with missing pads I'd take some wire to the nearest PCB trace it belonged to. I repaired a Simon-says game this way, the board had cracked in two due to having a trip down a flight of stairs, courtesy of gravity. Sucks though, hope you can fix it.
the board chunk got thrown away. along with the case and all the screws. i love ot when people throw away things without remembering how i told them it was mine to play with.
Blah. Finally got an SD card for my raspi but I STILL can't really use it because of the fact that the only USB keyboard in the apartment (my friend's 2013 Black Widow Ultimate) sucks up a FUCKLOAD of power, won't work even with a 5v/2A power supply (old iPad charger) I wonder if my model m would work if I got a converter..
Do you really think a 5 pound mechanical keyboard from the 90s is going to suck up less power than a newer one? hint it won't
-snip- Yeah, I was just reading up on it now.. I feel silly. Sorry for my stupidity. Cheap-ass USB keyboard it is then
Teracrest maybe?
I had no idea what teracrest was, I looked it up and wow. So of course the best course of action was to download it and resize it on my slowest computer, using the best settings I could come up with.
$ identify -ping title.png title.png PNG 41472x27648 41472x27648+0+0 8-bit sRGB 806.1MB 0.000u 0:00.000 $ time convert title.png -colorspace LAB -distort resize x1080 -colorspace sRGB -depth 8 -strip title_1080.png real 1282m53.133s user 18m50.940s sys 14m3.366s
When I get an SD card for my Pi, I'll try it on that too.
Pepper;39023917']Guys, any PS3 games you would recommend?
Heavy Rain, Katamari Forever, Journey, Red Dead Redemption.
I'm pretty sure I tried som YUV codec, but I can't remember the name in my head. Isn't that an enormous lossless one? Also I know that, not sure why you're bringing it up. Keep in mind that not all codecs would make the recording not go in real-time, just some. (those probably not meant for real-time recording)
YUV is simply a color format. All sorts of codecs use it as it compresses well depending how it's used. UT's YUV422 codec is amazing. And it's about 10% larger than fraps in most of my testing. Vegas can dump to a 422 codec at 1080p about 150fps on my system which makes it great for intermediate encoding. [editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
And after this it'll still work in Sony Vegas or Premiere? You know, my biggest wish is to use the x264 codec. I remember some dude on Youtube who had posted his setup with Dxtory and x264, and had SOMEHOW magically edited it and uploaded it on Youtube. How in the fuck did he even do that? From my googling around, it seems there's no way at all to get x264 encoded files into either premiere or vegas.
He was using x264 in an AVI VFW (Video For Windows) format. Which is generally shit, but people enjoy recording with it in the lossless format it uses. Or set it to superfast and then set the quality high up to like 2 or 3. [editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
the board chunk got thrown away. along with the case and all the screws. i love ot when people throw away things without remembering how i told them it was mine to play with.
Yea, same boat. My dad threw out my Monitor's box. You know... the one I need to send back to HP if my monitor breaks. So i'll have to ask HP to provide a box probably. But we have to hold onto like 5 band saws that don't work and 500 cribs.
So my cat knocked over a shelf with my stereo(Late 90s era Sharp) on it. I took it apart to survey the damage, and it turns out the volume knob got knocked through the board. Anyone want to take bets on if it still works?
PFFFTTHAHAHAHAHAAH IT STILL WORKS Gotta use the remote to change volume, but it fucking works like a charm!
Pepper;39023917']Guys, any PS3 games you would recommend?
If you don't mind anime style then go for Valkyria Chronicles. It's a great tactical role-playing game.
Heh I have the same system upstairs, works perfectly.
Give that thing a hug because it is a fucking powerhouse [editline]30th December 2012[/editline]
What the hell? All the buttons, the screen, even the 3-disk changer that has a lot of moving parts.
what is considered the best windows equivalent to the 11" macbook air? i would need something like that, price isn't too much of an issue, but it shouldnt cost more than a macbook air
what is considered the best windows equivalent to the 11" macbook air? i would need something like that, price isn't too much of an issue, but it shouldnt cost more than a macbook air
Probably something like the Asus Zenbook. Although its 13", its probably as close as your gonnna get without venturing into the Chinese knockoffs.
the price class is around 1000 euros for me
I already made a separate thread about this, but I'll ask here too since I might get a quicker response. My stock fan for my AMD FX-8150 is driving me crazy since it goes up to 5-6000 RPM during CPU intensive-tasks (and 4000 already when just downloadning something from steam), I was thinking of buying a Noctua fan but that one won't fit with both fans since I use high-profile RAM, and I don't know if only one fan will give the desired effect. Do you know any good, low-noise fans that would fit on a space of 95x95 mm?
Pepper;39024181']Now i've played through uncharted 3, every other PS3 game looks like SHIT in terms of eye candy
Killzone 2/3 look good.

I have the exact same problem with the RAM too, I just put the fan on the back of the heatsink vs. the front (I probably did it wrong, but temps are fine so meh)
So apparently Windows Mail, both for WP8 and Windows 8 doesn't know about the reply-to field. Because of that a bunch of messages I sent in reply to offers to buy my phone went nowhere. God fucking damn it.

I might just buy it if one fan can keep the CPU at 30/50-60 degrees in idle/load. It's worth the goddamn lack of noise and I'm not interested in overclocking either.
