good for you that is only a picture.
I could tell it was a picture because of how blurry it is :v:
I dunno what's worse...Using Geel's app to browse FP or my Kindle Touch :v:
what the hell happened to our spacebuild server? I still need to learn how to playyy
I still don't understand what people are doing to make it take 40 seconds to boot 7 off of an SSD. I do that on 7200 rpm drives. SSDs should be 15 seconds including post.
Not sure why people disagree with this post?, My live recording rig has a cheapass Corsair Nova SSD in it and it boots windows 7 and auto starts REAPER in 18 seconds from the moment I hit the power button. My main rig with 5400RPM drives in it boots in ~40 seconds.
What in the living fuck:
The animation will clip off partway through if the system loads sufficiently fast enough. You could also disable it if you really wanted to skip that entirely.
Even if your board takes 8 seconds to post, that's only a few more than the ones I've used recently (most of the recent asrock boards seem to take about 5), and I have built numerous machines that will fully power on and be sitting idle at the desktop in 13-16 seconds from the moment you press the power button. So you should be looking at 20 seconds for a full boot on 7 under somewhat non ideal circumstances. This is non RAID systems by the way.
Obviously for these values there is no power on password, and the OS logs the user in automatically.
I'm genuinely curious. What are you running that is causing things to take that long to load? The only thing that I can think of is a migration from a conventional drive that is somehow misconfigured or something along those lines.

Currently I am running a Crucial M4 256GB and the windows logo will always finish loading before it gets to desktop. My ASUS Maximus V Gene takes about 8 seconds to get from power on to the windows loading. It's not a fresh Windows install since it's been 8 months already but it's always been the same since the day I installed it. R/W are 400/270
It never went anywhere afaik.
What about a Space Station 13 server? That could be interesting.
I've considered setting one up, problem would be we'd have to have one for region as 200ms latency means it takes 10 seconds to move. Not fun.
I posted that using my Kindle..it probably gives a Linux/Android user agent so things aren't formatted like shit.

Oh yeah, user agents. That's kinda cool.

I'm running a Crucial M4 128GB, and the Windows logo usually cuts off before it finishes loading. I suspect you have either something lengthening your boot, or some other component in your system is causing the bottleneck.
I guess since we are talking about boot time, does anyone have any idea what could be causing my boot annoyance?
When I boot up, i get to the mash whatever to enter bios, then it blackscreens for 5ish minutes and my G15's lights turn off, then after the 5ish minutes, the G15 turns back on, and it continues from the windows logo
