I'd imagine that in the real world someone would figure out how to run Linux on a biochip. Shortly after that, a working Doom port.
Huh. So I just went to play a quick round of Counter-Strike. But I clicked the wrong button on Steam, and launched the *original* Counter-Strike, not GO or Source. I messed around for a bit. It was... interesting. I totally did not realize that the CS:GO de_vertigo was a remake of a CS1.6 map. I vaguely feel like going around each of the maps in each version (even Condition Zero), and taking screenshots to compare everything. Might make for an interesting project, if I can find the time.
So do I, its a little chilly in my room (not sure of the exact temperature)
We got a nice stove when we merged our kitchen with the larger sittingroom, and it just heats the whole house so quickly Far better than our shitty old fireplace.

How much heat would a laptop cpu generate more ? Currently my cpu has a TDP of 25 watt and running on idle at 45°c on load 53°C How much more heat would a cpu with a TDP of 35 watt make?
That depends entirely on your ventilation and fans.
I think the point was that PS3s are relatively inexpensive but have pretty decent hardware. Also, the Cell processor has a theoretical performance of 25.6 GFLOPS per SPE core on single precision floats. There's eight cores on each processor, plus the PowerPC-based PPE core. When you get, say, five PS3s together in a cluster, you already have 40 cores. That's a lot of cores.
A lot of cores useful for not much. Except Folding@Home. But you know, Sony removed that now...
What about the level 0 keys?
I'm saying Cell isn't good for many things. Access to it or not won't change that. There's one thing that interests me about it, though. Because of the vector-like architecture of the SPE's developers sometimes offloaded graphics onto some of the SPE cores. [editline]25th October 2012[/editline] Oh I see what you mean, referring to F@H. It's not gonna generate as much traffic as before. Too much effort to get into it and then you have the threat of your PS3/Account being banned off PSN and potentially bricked. Too much risk for too little gain.
now they're talking about medical stuff this is fascinating [editline]24th October 2012[/editline] and then my steam crashed
We got all drivers working and have the right resolution yes

Ahhh, Clients. Never fucking give them access to an SQL DB. 175.5 GB sent out in 3 hours. For the entire server, only 120MB was received. Good thing I fucking configured this thing for OLAP. Christ...
i7 920CPU idling at 40C, thermal paste is pretty old, managed to get a decent overclock on it despite it though. Should i disassemble it and apply some arctic silver and try to push it further or what

Awe yeah, last night I setup an XP VM on my server then installed Roller Coaster Tycoon and the Stardock Streamer. RCT on my tablet, wooo. Scrolling around is a mess, though otherwise it works fairly well.
I am still sad that Zune didn't take off very well. It feels like it would have been really awesome, if only MS would have advertised it or something. I only heard of it after browsing around the web. I had never seen an ad of it. [editline]25th October 2012[/editline] Oh cock, I had 15 old Chrome versions in my PC. Great, now I have 1.7GB more free space.
The Zune was pretty much US only, which was pretty stupid. But now the Zune ghost lives on windows phones~~
Holy shit it is starting to snow here! Weep woop weep woop weep woop.
I had rain, hail, local blackout, more hail, snow and rain That was in a 1 hr time span too

Could someone link me to the official Win7 ISOs? I found a few "official" ones, but none of them are faster than 1.5MB/s.
Just google for win 7 digital download. MS uses some website called digital river. Those are their official isos.
