Why does HDMI look so much more cloudy than DVI on my monitor? I'm pretty sure that they're really similar technologies, but this is noticeably worse.

Some settings might be wrong

If you have an AMD card, you have to change some overscan bullshit or something, because for some stupid reason the default setting makes the picture have a black frame around it.

Nope, all settings are the same and I'm nvidia
Asus have some colour correction thing but I usually have that off. Might be some kind of default colour warming that works on DVI only.
Browsing an estonian MC forum.

I'm guessing it's a thinkpad with a battery slice
Perhaps its got a Celeron inside, its a bit thick?
My Acer has a 1.5GHz Celeron. And it's not bulky at all.
getting 20mbps on wired school internet, fuck yeah
This morning I was preparing for a adviser appointment at my university. I was killing myself to get to work on time to at least print out what I needed and to get questions ready. I double check the name of the adviser only to find out I scheduled for Wednesday...

My guess is the monitor is handling it differently.
Thick as in dense, stupid. You are from England too, I thought you of all people would pick up on that?
Sorry.

That was a bad joke and I don't blame him for not understanding it.
So I played KF with my coworker last night. We had a bunch of fun. And he was new to it. So he emailed me this morning.
I find that maybe it would help them if they dropped the scoreboards - especially how it is with them just using an average of the scores. And I really don't understand why they reviewed Windows 8 already, their review is pretty superficial everything considered, and pretty much no one else has done one yet.
The numbering is stupid, yeah. Windows 8 got a 9 for ecosystem... but it's fucking Windows.
Don't ASUS use that for their driver downloads?
Adobe do, or at least used to also.
Is there any live streaming software that isn't terrible? Procaster brings my laptop to a crawl no matter what settings I use. I know video transcoding is expensive, but fucking hell.
Guy at computer store: "Yeah dude this 6450 can run anything!" Google: "better than integrated graphics, but still only for casual gamers."
lesson: don't trust people who are trying to sell you things

In other news, Pope got big hat and Razor saves gaming (again)
It's razEr get it right, scrub.
Kidding though but that was literally the only card they had in stock. Have I complained about my country's retarded import laws enough yet?
On a scale of 1-10 what is your favorite color in the alphabet?

I'd say that at least some of the writer's on the verge are a bit biased, I mean just look at this article: http://www.theverge.com/2012/10/28/3568746/amazon-7-inch-fire-hd-ipad-mini-ad-ballsy
I mean it's really not news and the writing is not different from what you'd expect from a forum post. Just seems like either they wanted page views or else the guy just got a bit butthurt about it (like it even matters what amazon says about a competitor).

try to copy the entire script text. it crashes.
Apparently some idiot thought that if the script doesn't begin with a slug and instead starts with dialog, it crashes

because something being on the internet instantly makes it a 100% completely accreddited source!
that was literally three or four reviews right there, don't tell me that card can run modern games decently (the guy actually said it'd run BF3 and Fifa 13)
Dude even a 4850 can run BF3 on low-mid details just fine :V
what
just how shitty is my fucking 9400
what

About 5 times as shitty as a 4850. Or thereabouts. Really fucking dirt. My old 4830 that sits in my little bros computer is also showing its age, it stills runs most shit fairly well, but let's just say that we can't always make use of his monitor's native resolution. Not that he cares much about that.

9400GT: 81% of a 5450, which is 61% of a 6450, so pretty much exactly half as fast as a 6450
