I was daydreaming today in my estonian language class. I saw the router and was thinking that there are only like 4 routers with WEP (All have the same key, known to students) and there are ones that are passworded with WPA which is harder to crack and no student currently knows or remembers it. Teachers don't give them out too (BOOHOO OUR NETWORK IS LAGGY IT MUST BE THE STUDENTS) because somebody appreantly started leeching all the bandwith (Well, we have a 100/100 at school)
And once somebody had performed ID theft or something like that over the network, causing them to change the passcodes on the routers.
Well, I thought about not going on a cracking spree. What if I am going to connect directly to the router using an ethernet cable? I mean, the router is just sitting there, on the table next to the window and there is written under the router that login and password are admin.
So what would it be for me to take my laptop and a cable, connect to the router during a break and change or see what the PW is. Shouldn't be hard, but what if the teacher walks in when I am doing it? I don't want to be mauled to death by my teachers, but I am pretty sure that my principal would be like, yeah, ok, nothing is going to happen. He is a cool guy, he has an Asus Transformer and a nice DSLR too (Incl. nice lenses)
I'd fucking report you to the police and kick you out.

That's grand sabotage in America I think.

how is connecting to a router with an ethernet cable and looking at a box of text in any way sabotage?
He is taking about both logging into a secured device he knows is off limits and changing the password.

Depends on the router. Mine shows the password, but I think that some would have it *'d out. Look the router up at home and see if it's accessible or something, or maybe download the settings backup file and see if you can get it out of that? it's probably plain text I'd imagine
Many people were reporting screen flickering on shades of grey and quickly getting stuck/dead pixels both of which I have got on mine.
Then get it replaced through your carrier and/or HTC themself.

Not changing, more of see what it is.
It is pretty generic, looks like this

but there are many similiar to it.
Still is a crime to break into a system and the steal their network. Doesn't matter if the access data is written on it.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should
change the password and suddenly teachers can't connect to it to conduct a lecture and then the IT office/department in your school will get hammered
fuck around with the router settings and risk screwing something up
You are just making yourself look like an idiot because you know what you are doing is wrong.
Actually, it wouldn't do anything if I could drop out like 3 routers, because our router network is really dense.
Like, I mean, 4 floors and every floor except the basement has atleast 4 routers. Atleast.
Like, there are routers in 105 and 205 and 005, even tho they are all at almost the same place.
And 301, 302 and the art class has one even tho it is like 10 metres from the 301.
Chances are the AP's don't even know the plaintext password then. And still illegal.
What? I am talking about the AP knowing the password, not some field which by the way wouldn't output a password field, but rather a field filled with dots. Your post makes absolutely no sense, I've never seen a password field output something...
Guys am I the only one that becomes OBSESSED with any new technology they're getting like right before they order it/whatever? I'm ordering a HTC One X this friday and I've been obsessed with looking at videos of it and shit...
Are you knowingly getting One X instead of One X+?

Yes, that's plaintext, not a fucking password field.
we have been talking about the wireless password the entire time

Why are you acting like a Internet police whenever you get the chance?

My chemistry teacher has a ThinkPad T61, a Samsung SGSII and loves mechanical keyboards. She is still a huge dick though.
Your argument is nil.
Google seems to be saying it's legit.
As I recall week 4 was the memegenerator one. If I actually won, I'm not sure how I feel about my life. :v:
I have received an email confirmation with tracking number. It's supposed to arrive on Monday the 12th.
I must say that I find it somewhat odd that they have never told me what sized SSD I am winning in all of their emails. Whatever. I also still find it funny that I won because of meme generation.
watch as you get a 32GB gen1 ssd
Or a 8GB USB flash drive instead since technically it's also SSD

The CEO of my company uses a Galaxy Note II, loves Mechanical keyboards, uses Gentoo, and is a huge bro.
Argument still null;
Toshiba NB550D...
