well, it just looks like a generic old keyboard then [editline]7th January 2011[/editline] take off a key, show menchanism
I shall do that if i can - i may have to buy it how do i take the key off properly
jesus fucking christ you snap it off how hard do you think it is bro
I just ordered a Unicomp Spacesaver, hopefully it'll arrive here in one piece. I live in Singapore, so that's about halfway around the world from the US.
I have a Razer Black Widow. I'm not shy to admit I'm a Razer fanboy, It's defiantly better then my Logitech G11 I was using before. I think it uses the blue cherry mx. I really don't know much about mechanical keyboards only that I needed a new one and that it had to match and it was on new egg so fuck it.
Keyboard related question: I've heard you can't get N-key rollover unless you use a PS2 port for your keyboard, but does it still work if you just use a USB to PS2 adapter?

god this thread is full of spineless maggots who have no idea what they're talking about [editline]14th January 2011[/editline] wise up
Some guy offered me an IBM Model M with Hungarian layout for €40. It has a birth certificate, manufactured in '92 and it looks like it's just out-of-the-box, not even a single coffeestain or dirty keycap. What do you think? [editline]15th January 2011[/editline] Made in the UK

I can only reccomend the Steelseries 7G. I have it, and I fucking love it. It feels so nice and solid, unlike the Razer shit I've owned where I felt I could snap it with ease. The wristrest is amazing.. it supports really really nicely. :D Oh, and for lolz, bring it to a LAN, and go batshit on the buttons, reactions are awesome.

so anyone own the razer blackwidow? whats the build quality like?
so anyone own the razer blackwidow? whats the build quality like?
It has Cherry MX blue switches so the build quality of the switch is good and the rest of the keyboard is Farley sturdy compared to other Razer keyboards
Yeah, the Blackwidow is the most solid keyboard I have ever typed on from razer. I think the keycaps could be better, they are thin, but kick the shit out of every other Razer board I've typed on. The switches are plate mounted and feel just like most plate mounted blues. The Das has better quality keycaps IMO, they feel thicker. Both use laser backfill for legends.
I finally got my das keyboard after a whole month, and this thing is definitely the most enjoyable keyboard I've laid my hands on, perfect for typing quickly and playing starcraft
Have tons of Amazon giftcard money, looking for a mechanical keyboard possibly, help find the cheapest? [editline]24th January 2011[/editline] http://www.amazon.com/Black-Mechanical-Keyboard-PS2-USB/dp/B000ZD1L14/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1295937086&sr=8-2 reviewer says it's cherry blues, should I get it? Can anyone verify?
The Black widow is the best keyboard I've used ever. It's got some weight to it, the software allows you to change any key to a macro or another key. It's like a Cadillac smooth powerful big and heavy and you don't want to use something else and you don't want someone else to use it. [editline]25th January 2011[/editline]
Problem's cropped up, gents. Not sure if it's unique to my keyboard or if it's a problem with all of them, but at times my Rosewill RK-9000 has the random tendency to type a letter twice in a row. It isn't a huge deal-breaker, by any means, but it can get annoying when you're typing a document out and all of a sudden you have to go back with spellchecker fixing three-four errors your keyboard made. Don't know if it's worth RMAing or not, I love this thing too much to send it back for something as petty as this.
This happens some times but it's because the weight of my hand presses the key down. I jump off cliffs a lot in Minecraft. It's just because I'm not used to how far the keys travel.
It's a mechanical keyboard, how bad can they fuck it up?
I've heard of some issues with the ABS M1 having shit solder points that would break after a year or so of use [editline]26th January 2011[/editline] same with really old iOne Scorpiuses , but that one was marketed as an entry level board so
I heard they took all the M1's off the market until they fixed the issue, this happened some months ago but you can still buy them on their website
They stopped making them, they used fukka's; alps clones. Thats why they sold for $20 for a while, they were clearing supply.
