If you're spending this much on a computer you should at least get a full tower. Seriously.
If you're spending this much on a computer you should at least get a full tower. Seriously.
what case would you recommend for my updated price list, oh and i put down for ''G-Skill 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3'' (x2) with the ASUS P7P55D LE P55 Socket 1156 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard so would the ram fit?
not bad but theres no ssd, which i was going to install the operating system on any i will only have 6 gig where as before, it was 8 [editline]03:13PM[/editline] But i do love that case!
You have been told time and time again that you do not need 8gb of ram. Really, the only reason there's 6gb in that build is because socket 1366 boards are triple channel. Use the extra 80 pounds to put an SSD in there.

Yeah Cooler Master gives you screws to mount a SSD in the HDD cage. [editline]11:03AM[/editline] And nope, you're good.
klkl ok i was wondering would this motherboard http://www.ebuyer.com/product/182111 support the i7 processor?
i7 860 or i7 870 only (LGA1156 processors). But they are on the same performance as i7 920/930.
klkl ok i was wondering would this motherboard http://www.ebuyer.com/product/182111 support the i7 processor?
Not, that's socket 1156. You need a socket 1366 for the i7. [editline]11:51AM[/editline] forgot the lower numbered i7s were 1156, go with him.
such as this? :) http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172757
Yup [editline]06:05PM[/editline] Wait a second, I will do a list for everything we said about
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/222943 Acapon is going to use this case by the way.
Yup [editline]06:05PM[/editline] Wait a second, I will do a list for everything we said about
this is what i have so far

[editline]06:18PM[/editline] And damnit don't go for 8Gb of RAM, save your money for a better GPU instead. We explained several times for you that 8GB of RAM do nothing in performance at all.
this is what i have so far
I cannot understand for the life of me why you feel the need to drop down to a 5850. My current computer cost about 2/3 of your budget, and I still managed to fit a 5870 into it. Edit: And why the hell do you still have 8gb of ram in that. 4gb is all you need.
-automerge broken again-
RAM: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/173105 (OCZ 2x2GB DDR3 1333Mhz)
Would that ram be better than the other because it has a lower clock rate. [editline]05:21PM[/editline] The other is 1600Mhz
nice, but i like the fact that i have 8gig of ram instead, and i will just downgrade the graphics card a bit, as i dont need a top of the line one like that
I think I would personally only go with 6Gb of ram at the most though. 8Gb's a bit overkill.
Nope, 8GB is really retarted. [editline]06:28PM[/editline]
I think I would personally only go with 6Gb of ram at the most though. 8Gb's a bit overkill.
You can't put 6GB on 1156 socket, and 1366 sockets costs a shit load of money.
I think I would personally only go with 6Gb of ram at the most though. 8Gb's a bit overkill.
He needs to go for either 4gb or 8gb on a dual channel board. Since 8gb is dumb, 4gb is the way to go.
Nope, 8GB is really retarted. [editline]06:28PM[/editline] You can't put 6GB on 1156 socket, and 1366 sockets costs a shit load of money.
but 8gb is good for rendering stuff fast!
He needs to go for either 4gb or 8gb on a dual channel board. Since 8gb is dumb, 4gb is the way to go.
Just wondering can you go with 6Gb by having 2x2Gb and 2x1Gb together on that board? Would that work?
but 8gb is good for rendering stuff fast!
No it doesn't. That's got a lot more to do with your processor and your graphics card. [editline]12:33PM[/editline]
Just wondering can you go with 6Gb by having 2x2Gb and 2x1Gb together on that board? Thought so.
but 8gb is good for rendering stuff fast!
Nope.avi.

Still think you should get the 480 or at least the 5870
