lol i tried it and i can see the difference between dx9 and dx10, but no visual quality difference really. FPS doesn't really drop below 30 I'll try it on dx9 for a bit. Hopefully i can run it on dx10 with optimization guides though. Thanks, RaDiVaX :v:
no problems. :3:
Disable AA and anisotropic filtering. On my desktop, they drop my FPS from around 200 to around 120.
I find it pretty funny actually. Only a year ago i was "pfft, who needs dx10?" and "damn this game is laggy, guess i'll play it on low."
:downs:
:downs:
what? I was running a machine with 1gb of ram and a 2.13ghz pentium 4. [editline]01:42PM[/editline] I could hardly run Battlefield: 2142 without putting everything on low and running eboostr Then suddenly i'm shocked that i actually have the ability to catch up on 2-3 years of gaming.
Anti aliasing is really fucking with your FPS. You shouldn't have even considered using it with a graphics card that low end.
don't want to turn down the graphics any lower :|
AA is the number one crippler of performance in a game, mostly graphically speaking. Fucking turn it off and deal with it.
Lol. AA on a shitty laptop gpu? Keep dreaming buddy. Also change AF to 8x and make sure AA is 0 or else you wont see much higher fps.
Damn kids today, spoiled with their DX10/11 graphics, and yet they bitch when it lags...
I remember when DirectX 2.0a came out, that shit was awesome
I would have to go on the bandwagon here and say that laptop hardware is largely under powered compared to their desktop equivalents. If you really insist to play games on a laptop, you will just have to get used to being back of the line. :P Edit: I have a friend that changed laptops 3 times within the last two years to be able to keep up with games, me, I am still riding comfortably on my 3 y.o. desktop. :P (Granted it ain't supercharged, but it runs most games in full hd without a lot of hickups)
