• Need new computer

My current PC is Win XP and about 5 years old so yeah, I need a new one! And despite being educated in IT at a Vocational school I still don't understand anything of it at best, so I don't know what I should get. So I need advice on what I should get (not where), my current computer has just about nothing to use in a new one. At the moment the only things I know is the following that I think I want. Windows 7 DirectX 11 Shitload RAM (3-5 GB) 2-3 TB memory But I don't know anything about other parts or what producers to get from, but it's for gaming mostly and I'd like to have high performance. The budget, I have no idea maybe 900-1400€? As I said I don't know anything about this. Oh and I'm not interested in win8, just a detail. So I would appreciate any help figuring out this.

This will run any currently released game on high/max. 945$ Notes: 1:Get windows 8, it runs games really well and is 40$ cheaper. 2:Why do you need 2-3 TB? Anyways just add more of the same hdd's if you do. 3:An SSD is an option in your budget, if you want faster boot times and OS in general (Samsung 830 for example) 4:Upgrade the GPU to an ati 7970 or Nvidia 670 if you want to absolutely max out every game. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll go through them more closely after getting some sleep. Nope, nope, nope, the place I work at has Win8! It's a nightmare to use, make it stop!!! I think I'll get something I'm comfortable using rather then saving money. 2. My current 1 TB didn't last very long before being filled up, have to delete lots of stuff to fit anything! Not gonna let that happen again.
Just use Win10. It's comfortable enough to use, you will go through settings and whatever customization options it offers, and make it preferable to you. You're gonna have to delete a lot of bloatware at the start though. And by that, I mean useless "apps" or small games that Windows will install by default.
