Find a stable surface, set ISO to as low as possible. Play with exposure times and try different areas of focus.
I need to find my tripod :/ ISO? The light source? I cant malark with such settings, sadly.
Almost every digital camera has an ISO setting. Heck even my phone has one. It adjusts the cameras sensitivity to light. The higher the setting, the more sensitive the camera it to light, but this also causes alot of noise which you don't want. Thus set the ISO very low for minimal grain, then make sure the room has sufficient light, you don't want pitch black. I am not too sure on your camera's exposure setting, you may or may not be able to adjust it. If not, then you will have to keep playing with light sources and ISO.
whats it do
It's a screen calibrator, it measures the light being emitted from your monitor and will run through a calibration process for each screen to find the most accurate possible settings for each monitor. It isn't something you can just do with a good eye and software display settings. It's a necessity for color accuracy. I figure since I actually am selling goods, I want to produce accurate work. It's very frustrating to make a piece of work, be pleased with it and then find out that on another screen it looks like garbage, I am getting this so I know that any errors in accuracy won't be on the developing end.

Suns up, opened my curtains, faffed about with ISO and exposure compensation or something to that effect. Hows it look? If wanted I can reupload the original 4000x3000 image.

i started working on the desk today. In summary, the wood was plained and made straight. Plained means to get all the rough edges of of the boards, so before it looked like this (this is the piece for the legs that has not been plained yet) after it is plained it looks like this (damn sexy wood :smug:) i still have to sand the pieces and then once I'm finished maybe give it a moderately darker stain finish. I'd probably say I'm about 10% of the way done with it. I have high hopes, this wood looks really good, so i don't want to make any mistakes. its actually darker, the flash over-exaggerates the color (the 2nd picture shows its color properly)

Can't wait until I get my new rig set up some time this week so I can take a picture. Also, if I ordered it a few hours ago, and its shipping like 1 state (TN to MO,) how long do you guys think it will take to get here, and does UPS make you sign for newegg shipments?

Are those the little Stanton "Virtual Performance control surfaces"? What are you using them in conjunction with, traktor?
dont be hating us D: we have a hard time with some games
Be ambi-fuckin-dextrous like me.
Spent all day rearranging my room. This is nice, now I can watch movies on the computer from my bed, and I can actually see the TV both in my bed and when sitting by the computer! Looks nice and clean, good job.
i did some more work on the desk this evening, not much. I basically cut six grooves in each board called with a biscuit cutter. I then put in about 30 biscuits in total in the wood (all 3 pieces) for the main top table. I then put a good amount of glue on the wood pieces and now it is drying overnight being held by wood grips. The depth of the desk is going to be about 30 inches, and and its going to be 72 inches wide. some pics the biscuit the desk top if you noticed those small ligth colored pieces of wood between the mahogany and wood clamps, those are there so that the clamps don't leave any pressure marks on the mahogany
