Basically, computer memory was once limited to 1 MB (including the BIOS program and all that), with RAM being limited to 640kB. And someone said that this limit was fine because "640kb should be enough". Now, obviously, we know that this isn't true, and BIOS programs have to jump through hoops to get around that limit and address some additional memory. All I'm saying is that 16 EB might be closer than we think, at the rate we're going.
