Alright man, anything that will help my peace at mind.. just dont wanna spend so much for it to melt, or burn out on me :p
When you get a 5870 will you crossfire them? If you do get a 600watt PSU.
But here, 2x 5870s+ system max watts is 561. The 550 will easily handle your system.
So a single 5870 at load will push about 354w? is that while im playin vids?
Most likely while gaming. When playing vids it will probably be idle.
No when i ment vids, i ment video games.. lol...
Well yea at load it only pulls the 354 watts. And that includes the whole system.

Oh wow you didn't get the joke did you, let me elaborate:
Dude, you're a little late for 1400, it's the year 2010 already.
PSU is overkill, you should definitely get corsair but go with their 650W unit.
Swap out the 4890 for a 5850.
Im thinking about it.. just checking my buget
Is it just me or does his avatar creeps me out.

Do you need a OS?
This is probably closest to you getting a 5870 rig. But it is well worth it.

1406 CAD
Well he said he wanted the build just like he posted in the OP. So it had a HAF 932. Either way He can go HAF 922.
imho
gigabyte's usb 3.0 and sata 6gbps boards = gimped 4 lyf
unless u never go crossfre/sli
the bigger pain in the butt is when u DO realise its possible to dual x16 lanes, but have to give up the sata port(else 1 will be x8 and the other will be god knows x4?), either way it comes down to one or the other which is shit decision one has to make espacially if you havent bought the board yet.
so why would anyone take that board ? instead of ..lets say an asus(which is cheaper), which provides true x8's when both pcie lanes are taken regardless of utilization of the sata/usb ports .
I know the diff in performance is marginal, but still price/performance vs price/performance i only see a disadvantage with a pricier board(with prolly a bit more copper on the board).
so if your certain that your gonna buy a 2nd 4890, dont do gigabyte
