I have a rather large torrent running on my latpop that is downloading to my external hard drive using uTorrent, is it possible for me to format my laptop and then somehow resume the torrent using the part files on my external hard drive? My internet only downloads at 230 kb/s during the night and I get no peer to peer during the day (damn you tiscali) so do not really want to re download 40 GB...
Just wait for the torrent to finish then reformat.
It will take another month or so to finish, and my laptop is currently so over run with crap that it's un useable for anythign else than uTorrent, hence why I want to format.
Yes, when you load the torrent into uTorrent and point to the directory where the files already are uTorrent should find them, check them, and continue to torrent.

Copy your uTorrent folder in %AppData%, and when you reformat, just put it back into the %AppData% folder. It should be recognized by uTorrent and continue downloading, as long as the downloaded files are still in the same place.

That's either an xbox-huge file or you are getting horrible speed.
I've downloaded many torrents over 100GB, they took pretty damn long when I still had 2mbit download
This is 75 GB, and getting 2mbit in the night and nothing during the day.
What torrent is 75-100GB?
I'm sure you could find an anwser to that if you wanted to.
The main question is, why would you bother downloading a 75GB file which would take about a month to download.. o.0
That's a lot of porn.

Yes you can, you can resume download/upload even if the file was downloaded from different source. Unless it's different file ofc.
Copy the original torrent and the file path, save it on your ehd (ex-hd) then put the file path back in the download placement, re-load torrent and right click re-check torrent
That's a lot of porn.
Wrong, I don't watch porn.
Wrong, I don't watch porn.
funny.
funny.
Truthful.
Truthful.
doubt it.
This sounds like an Illegal file. Screen shot please.
doubt it.
Well when me and my ex started going out about three months ago I stopped, and since we split up last week I haven't felt any need or want to, so I continue to not watch it. [editline]10:48PM[/editline]
This sounds like an Illegal file. Screen shot please.
Simple anwser: No Longer anwser: Why the hell would I screenshot it? I don't need to prove anything to you or anyone else.
What the hell are you downloading that is 40GB?
There's all kinds of cool stuff you can download that's over 40GB
I got a quick question, how do I make it so utorrent doesn't remove the torrents when they're done? Btw, I am NOT using utorrent for warez.
No one said you were, now why would you go and bring up an accusation like that?
