Get a rid of the damn Windows Vista. The speed increase will probably be enough to put him off.
You can do several things to Vista to speed it up and make it less of a pig. I was stuck with Vista for awhile and I figured out some tricks to make it less garbage. - Disable Superfetch. (doesn't actually "improve performance over time".) - Disable Volume Shadow Copy. (so you don't have 50 GB of disk space mysteriously vanish, or have disk defags take years, literally.) - Run vsp1cln or compcln in CMD after every SP install and WU. (keeps WU cache from eating tons of disk space.) - Disable Search Indexing (it'll destroy your disk performance.) - Use a memory manager like Cleanmem (serious about this, Vista sucks with memory management. It also helps keep Firefox memory leaks in check.)
Mac people
Considering Apple make some of the best external displays I doubt it's the Mac. All types of computer have the stupid users.
In some cases that actually holds water. For example on ultra low end computers, (VIA Pico-ITX machines, in my case) Windows 7 can be near unusable. Windows XP is the lightest version of Windows that someone can use and still be functional.
That's not a case of optimization or bloat.
"Beats audio is really great." -Guniv [editline]21st June 2013[/editline] Proof
They have decent audio and sound proofing, its just that for the price you could do 5x better What I do hate is when people don't get THAT part and say Beats are the best on the market, which my dad tried to tell me after I told him you are just buying the brand
They have decent audio and sound proofing, its just that for the price you could do 5x better What I do hate is when people don't get THAT part and say Beats are the best on the market, which my dad tried to tell me after I told him you are just buying the brand
Beats look so stupid on people. At my university you constantly see people walking around with them on and they just look silly. They are loud looking, plasticy and everyone wearing them seems to have a smug face. Male College student attire, Adidas sandals with white/black tall crew socks Gym/basketball shorts in winter T-Shirt that they got for free from some event White Oakley transformers looking shades Fifty-nine-fifty hat that is basically one giant sticker at this point Beats headphones, in bright red, that clash with everything else he's wearing.
Fifty-nine-fifty hat that is basically one giant sticker at this point.
I fucking hate these. Especially when people say "it makes the hat more valuable!" :downs:

I know people in that industry, they don't use beats, whatsoever.

Very nice monitor, but that computer needs to be upgraded bro" or even "Why do you use a TV as a monitor?"
The best thing I have heard about beats was "The professionals use them". When I asked him why he chose Beats, he said "Because some people flip the hell out if we use anything else."
I don't feel like quoting every single one of MIPS' posts
I'll slap your shit if you start mocking my superior ancient computer knowledge skills. :v: I had someone have the balls to tell me that an accelerated mac IIci was faster than a regular mac running at the same unaccelerated speed even though there was nearly two generations in hardware differences. Why are the vintage mac collectors so dumb?

They really did sound muddy and unclear.

The trebble is horribly over the top and the bass is just overpowered. Mids are pretty much ignored really. Sounds horrible IMO. I prefer my £20 or so Sony MDR-V150's. Much, much better.

Needless to say, he said beats were better until he actually tried my sennheisers. Why people think you can't get good cheap products, I don't know.

They were really good as well!

[editline]22nd June 2013[/editline] Also the majority of my friends thought Beats were the best out there. I let them listen to my M-50s. That shut them up pretty quick.
Was helping out a Steam friend with his first build and.. "dual SLI cards" It's not really stupid but, it made me laugh quite abit.
A friend of mine spent about two hours arguing with me about 86 bit operating systems, claiming he was running Windows 7 86-bit despite numerous attempts to explain that x86 meant 32 bit.
Mac people [editline]22nd June 2013[/editline] Wait you know a 10 year old with a 690 and your sister has a Titan, where the hell do you live?
She has a titan for some stupid Student program on a local company. And the other guy had a 690, maybe because he was that kind of people that say: "omg pc gaming is bettur dan console gaming" and play with a controller :V Trust me, spain is like this
A friend of mine spent about two hours arguing with me about 86 bit operating systems, claiming he was running Windows 7 86-bit despite numerous attempts to explain that x86 meant 32 bit.
To be technical, the x86 instruction set was originally 16 bit but as it was extended they converted them all to 32 bit.
x86 is the instruction set, not how many bits it is.
in any case 86-bit is still wrong
Considering Apple make some of the best external displays I doubt it's the Mac. All types of computer have the stupid users.
For some reason apple doesn't put the pixels close together enough, they insist on glossy and some of the screen is slightly yellow in places where it should be white.
