Don't you have a pair of 3870 X2s?
How's that working out for you, by the way? :v:
i have a single 3870x2, and its ok, can still max out most games bar crysis and brand new ones with aa
but yeah, i skipped a series for this series.
Dawwww! I need a better CPU first. This Intel E7500 isn't cutting it.
Time to stay up and refresh Newegg like a madman. :)
I won't buy one of these alone.
I'll purhase 3 more 2343BWXs with it so I can roll Eyefinity-like.

I figured you wouldn't be able to stay away from FP for very long.
rumors of a 5890 shortly following the release of the 5870: http://www.overclock3d.net/news.php?/gpu_displays/ati_radeon_hd5890_coming_too/1

He was gone for a while?
That's funny; he came back the same day I did.

Fuck it, I'm going for crossfire 5890's.
What the fuck where are they selling this card???
Here's the HIS 5850 on Zipzoonfly...

Any other places to buy?

That's still a great CPU, but I know the feeling. I'm tempted to indulge towards Quad-Core.

this made me lol
Can't wait. Don't disappoint me, ATI.
Does anyone know how much the 5650/70's are going to be? Should I get one of those instead of a 4850?

And it's down.
Guess they let it out a day too early.
5870 on Newegg go go go.
i don't see why they have to, for example, i would be totally cool with something like
for example.

Ah, so it's slightly better than a GTX 295.
Seems alright. The 4890's still £130, and if this is retailing for the supposed £280 mark it's still not worth it in my opinion.

I get £380 for work next month. I'm gonna get one, and a new case too :D
Ah, so it's slightly better than a GTX 295.
Well heres how it appears to look.
The GTX 295 takes the lead in Nvidia optimized games with the 5870 trailing close behind.
ATI 5870 is winning everywhere else.
GTX 295 = Dual GPU Card
ATI 5870 = Single GPU
Which means the 5870X2 will dominate the 295 once it is released. Currently 5870 is best bang for buck. Expect GTX 295 prices to bottom fast.
Finally competition again.
Perfect anisotropic filtering. Fuck yes.

This and wide tent gives ATI near perfect image quality. Only thing we need now is a negative lod bais clamp.
Guess it's a good thing I got a 750W PSU since I'm planning on getting a 5870X2 when it comes out.
