Even the cost of the upgrade? I'm lucky to have MSDN access and not have to pay for it, but the majority of consumers get to live with that one.
That especially doesn't apply to me.
I've touched that in my post. You still obviously can't read, and I'm sure everyone else can tell you're wrong, so I won't take the time to ridicule your post. Stop by PM if you care to know why, but I'm sure you've done it purposely so it won't matter.
The bit you mentioned wasn't the bit I was talking about.
That especially doesn't apply to me.
True, but their point is correct. The rest is pretty much bullshit, though.

I'm still right, but that's not a PM, so I'm not gonna go into why.

I disagree.
Almost all of those are horrible reasaons, execpt for maybe price..
when you think about it this is an OS.
Which is years upon years of work and it's not that more expensive then an expensive video game ( maybe 2-3 times the price ) but a OS will last you years and years to come. When a video game rarely lasts 3 years.
Oh fuck no, I'm sticking to Windows XP now.
I wish there was a lazy rating.
C'mon.. you just copy the files you really need.
Like work you've done and the music that was hard to find.
The rest can be easily re-downloaded and/or re-installed in like 2 days.
One reason to avoid Windows 7:
It now takes two clicks on the taskbar to open windows. Two. TWO

Nope.

It doesn't.

yeah if you still use that horrible taskbar.
You can modify your taskbar in the properties.
What horrible taskbar, it is way tidier to use the new one.
When you get used to it, it feels way better.

F-Zero is awesome, though
especially the music.
or a external harddrive
Or an internal harddrive. I got 2, I keep important shit on one, and the OS on the other.
Ahahahaha
I pre-ordered the 7 upgrade earlier this year for 50% off.

Oh tear.
They're all valid.
They're all valid.
Only 1/3rd of them are a little bit valid, the rest is just random bitching with technical jargon.
I bet whoever wrote it is a Die-hard Linux nerd.

Correction, they're all true, but exaggerated.

I can understand people being linux nerd. I use linux myself. Microsoft's monopoly is way too big.
However, linux can be a very difficult operating system to manage, even "easy" distro's like Mint and Ubuntu have things that are hard to configure.
Like when you download a program from your browser(not a .deb package)
Most of the time the program is not compiled yet and you have to compile it yourself using the terminal.
I can understand someone who only knows how to start word and internet doesn't know how to install such an application on linux.
Who cares if compiling apps from source is hard? I've never had to do that, ever. And it's even harder on Windows, anyway. Your "average user" will probably not need anything outside the repos.

Just because the 'average user' might not need anything out of standard repos (which I doubt anyway) doesn't mean it's better than Windows 7.

I've yet to come across a "here's the source, compile yourself" app for Windows, whereas I did all the time when I used Linux.
That's because most applications for windows are closed source. I'm yet to find an app that doesn't have debian/ubuntu packages. You run into problems when you try and make use of windows paradigms ( google and then install whatever you find on the internet ), rather than the much better package management systems ( search in the package manager, install a cryptographically signed binary package ).
The biggest thing from that win7sins site for me is education. Schools are supposed to be inclusive places of learning, but when a school deploys windows, parents feel obliged to provide the same software at home. This puts poorer families at an even bigger disadvantage before we even start. Not to mention, like the site says, you're nothing but a consumer with windows. You're not learning about computers, you're learning how to spend more money on Microsoft products.

Any examples?

Package management is a hundred times better and easier than hunt-and-peck downloading, but regardless, that's not what I'm talking about. I'm just saying, claiming linux is hard because you have to compile from source is hardly a good point since your average person is never going to have to do that.
I'm sure Panda will come up with some great source only app examples that the average user needs and prove me wrong, though.
Oh fuck no, I'm sticking to Windows XP now.
Your XP install cripples over time. Seven won't.

No I won't. I'm too damn lazy to look. :P
