One good thing about join date elitism, it weeds out the 'know it all' newbies. God, the new Nvidia cards are gf100's, not gt300's :downs: Back on track, you can't go wrong with a 4650. Runs on a 280w perfectly.
if you can run a 5870 on 400W I'm pretty fucking sure you don't need 400W for a 4650
Have you taken into account the power consumption of all the other components? That would leave only 50w for everything else at full draw. The 4650 low profile I've got only draws about 40w max.

Yeah I was just a little slow there. What are the chances there are users whom have relatives working in the big businesses here anyway.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy ATI cards, but I'm all for Nvidia when it comes to price:performance ratio. I know it's not exactly in you price range, but try for an 8800 GTS? They are pretty good cards and you won't be sorry. You'll be able to run crysis if you even feel like it too. I recommend saving just a little, you won't regret it.

Oh god I didn't account for power use, although I'd say it's alright on a maybe scale. [editline].[/editline]
Thank you for not being obnoxious like the troll :)
I didn't read the troll posts, was he an ass? :v:
I didn't read the troll posts, was he an ass? :v:
I didn't make it in time to throw in my two cents, but pretty much lol. Typical blind fanboy/troll. Being biased through and through etc. Edit: You can't escape the edit ninja :ninja:

Also to OP; Some ATI cards are great, but me being more on the Nvidia side haven't actually had a look. Though my past experience with ATI cards has been very stable and predictable. (The cards have always behaved the same way, never varying as I often find with Nvidia)
