• build needed, ~500$ budget

i'm typing this on my ipod right now so excuse any spelling mistakes. basically my motherboard got fucked, the cmos battery ended up getting loose somehow (it was a prebuilt that i upgraded). i don't want my dad buying me another prebuilt, so i'll need myself a build to present to him (he thinks prebuilts are cheaper). the only parts i have that i would remotely consider salvaging are my gpu (radeon 4550) and my ram (4gb ddr2). i don't need any peripherals, monitor or os thanks. [editline]22nd November 2010[/editline] oh, and it'll be primarily used for gaming. i play games like black ops and the such
$500 is not bad. I can get you a better GPU and you'll probably have to upgrade the memory to make your machine a bit more future-proof. Also show him my thread if he thinks they're cheaper. I'm about to play a game of ArmA 2, but I'll make up a build after that.
take your time, i'm about to go to sleep haha
Okay, so I fell asleep after ArmA but I've put together a computer that'll run games pretty well for a while.
