Title says it all. the fan is spinning so slow that if i touch it it will stop and wont move again. Im worried it might overheat.
You will probably have to get a new GPU (a new fan is probably worth more than the GPU itself), but you can use it until it dies. My mother's 6600GT's fan has been completely broken for several years and it's still working.
It will be fine to use, but you should invest in a new GPU.
I do know on some cards, when the fan stops spinning it will eventually heatup, then crash your PC.
Most problems that should happen before switching or removing the card in general is when the screen starts to flicker after a few minutes until it'll go fully out.
What's the temps for the card?
If you're seriously scared it may overheat, try using a program to lower the clock speeds a reasonable amount.
I bought a 5770 HD from XFX but it's not compatible with my motherboard. I did buy a mother board but it'll take a week.
The temperature is at 57 atm it keeps on rising slowly.

unless he has the AGP version
Do 5770's work with regular pci-e slots, or do they recquire pci-e 2.0?

They'll work just fine in a PCI-E slot.
It's not the slot that has the problem, apparently alot of people who have the m2n-e has graphical issues with the 5770 HD. I'm guessing the bios is to out dated (2008).
On my desktop my screen will flashing green sometimes which was annoying but i got used to it, but then it bsod on me 4 times within 2 days. In games it wouldn't glitch though weird.
I reinstalled the drivers plenty of times. updated my bios to the latest version. It even had a booting problem where POSTING will get interrupted.
